Usually your caterer will have an option for vendor meals. Like photo, video, dj, ect. It’s usually a basic sandwich with chips that would most likely be eaten in the back (unless you have a seperate table for them), and is typically less expensive than the meal for everyone else

They are provided with a meal, but typically not the same as the guests, and they would not sit with the guests to eat, usually just a sandwich or a one course dinner

@IrishBride14:  Yes, normally you provide your photographer, videographer, DJ, etc. with a meal.  It is most likely in your contracts that you are required to.  However, most venues provide a lower price for vendor meals.

We provided ours a meal. It was the same meal that everyone else was having but we didn’t pay for the booze portion. So it was the teen priced meal. They also sat with guests.

We have 7 vendors that we are providing meals for. I let them pick a meal off of the menu and they will be served in another room. They said that they would rather not eat with the guests.

Our photographer was offered a full meal at our cost, he declined. We will also be offering a meal to the vendors as apparently we’ll have plenty of extras due to last minute cancellations.

We are paying for our vendors to share our buffet food, but theirs will be plated and set aside so that they can eat whenever they have a moment.
