I do not think you have enough appetizers. We had 15 pieces per perosn plus a crudite for one hour and it all got eaten (well, not the whole crudite, but all the hors d’ouevres).

I don’t think you need sandwiches at 4 pm. How many of us eat a sandwich before dinner?

Overall there is plenty of food and it will be served regularly. No one will have an excuse for being hungry.

I do however think you are underestimating on the number of apps per person.

I think you’re fine. If byou want more I would do more apps instead of sandwhiches, but I don’t think you really need it. It’s between lunch and dinner and you don’t want people to get full before dinner.

I’d add more appetizers and start them at 4. I’d also drop the artichoke dip with dinner. You do have a heavy, filling meal but 4 pc appetizers per person 2 hours before dinner is a little too light.

@breadandbutterflies: would you be providing the sandwiches or would the venue?  if you are providing them then maybe some really light sandwiches would be a good idea.

Maybe the venue will let you put the artichoke dip out for the 2 hours of punch and cocktails instead of during dinner.

Any reason you’re waiting until 4 to put it out?

Wow, I think you have more than enough food. I personally wouldn’t be able to eat that much. Ceremony is at 3pm and dinner is at 6:30 with a snack/appetizer in between. Most people will have had breakfast and lunch. I thinks it’s plenty and it sounds lovely.

@breadandbutterflies:  I would consider having the food ready and waiting for your guests as they enter the reception site.  That’s usually the first thing people look for.
