- Wedding: March 2011
Question for you all!
I am going to be one of those two-wedding brides. Weird, I know. But for financial reasons, my Fiance and I are getting married in a super small (about 15 guests, immediate family and friends) ceremony at my future in-laws at the end of October, with a cake and ice cream reception. We plan on having our full-on huge wedding shindig (more like a vow renewal and reception) in March, 2011. I really didn’t even want to do this backyard thing, but my Future Mother-In-Law would not hear of us getting hitched at the courthouse, which is what we really would have rather done. Because we are having another full-on wedding here in a few months anyway, I don’t want to go all out for this one. I am wearing a short, cute little blush pink dress, nothing fancy. And I don’t think we are doing much for decorations except maybe like some outdoor candles or something.
Now, for the ceremony music. Would it be weird if we didn’t have any? I really want to make this as low-key as possible, but I am thinking it might be weird if I just walk down the isle to nothing. However, it’s in the backyard, so it’s going to be a short “isle” leaving little time for much music anyway.
What do ya’ll think? Do I need to have music for the ceremony, or is none okay? And if you do think we should do music, should we go traditional Pachebel or find our own song?
Would LOVE some advice!!
