So our reception is at a hotel ballroom, and the hotel is comping us our room for the night. A lot of our guests will also be stayng at the same hotel that night as well (awkward). Does anyone have any suggestions for our “Exit”? Or do we need to even do this…the only thing I can think of is to have the DJ announce the last song of the evening and that we will be leaving after.

For our grand exit, we literally ran around the room and left. I think it’s important for you to leave or else you’ll get stuck talking to people and saying goodbyes and the night be go on forever. Just get out! So make when the song ends, you or your SO can grab the other’s hand and dart around the room and out.

We just announced to the 20 odd people left “Hey, we’re leaving!” It was much more “us”

Our venue requires that we be out by midnight and I imagine the party will still be going around that time. We just plan to announce last call around 11:15 pm and don’t really have a grand exit planned.

We didn’t have a grand exit. And I don’t regret it. We did have a fun exit from the ceremony though. 🙂

We did not have a grand exit. In fact we were one of the last ones to leave other than other members of the bridal party and our parents.

By the time the last song finished, half of the guests had already gone home. Darling Husband and I grabbed the microphone and thanked the remaining guests for coming and celebrating with us. Then we ran around trying to figure out where our stuff was and what needed to be taken home.

I think we’re going to walk back to our hotel (it’s only a block away) so I don’t see us having a grand exit. Although I’m kind of thinking it would be a fun time to take some pictures so I hope some other people are walking back at the same time to take some!

We didn’t have a grand exit.
It was 1:30am and all of the guests that were still there for our last dance gave us hug and left.
We had the wedding party help move the gift cards, guest book etc. up to our room (our reception was in a hotel as well) and then we had our time alone in our room.
