My mom decided that she wanted me to talk to a wedding planner at the beginning of this week. I told her I was planning on making some paper flowers for the centerpieces but having real flowers for the bouquets and for the bouts and corsages.
The wedding planner told me that if I was going to do this I might consider putting some paper flower leaves or buds in with the real bouquets so the themes are connected. I’m not sure if that will look right though?

@SweetRose2011: I don’t see why not. I think it would look nice

I think it’s a good idea…it’ll tie it all in…

I have seen pictures of a friend’s cousins weddings and she had real flowers for the bouquets and boutiners (spelling?) and had silk flowers set up as decorations. I couldn’t even tell they werent real flowers! and they all went well together

I think that mixing real with paper is potentially a really good idea. Maybe you can try it out beforehand and see how it looks? In any case, for what it’s worth, my gut says yes!

How would you protect the paper flowers from water damage in a bouquet?

Do you have any pictures of examples?

@JoJo Bananas: that was going to be my question. personally, i think it’s potentially more effort than it’s worth and would just keep them seperate unless it’s something that you already wanted to do
