Fiance and I met in fencing club!  We also really like hiking, movies, current events, and reading.  However, we also have some different interests that give us something to talk about- him: board games and video games, me: horseback riding and dance.

Do you guys like to see movies together (maybe the same kind of movie?)  It’s always interesting to me to see how different or similar different couples are!

Water sports. It’s been much harder to enjoy them together after the birth of our LO but we still make time ๐Ÿ™‚

We have lots of mutual hobbies and interests.

Fiance and I love working out, and have taken up playing squash and other racquet sports. We also love camping, hiking, going on adventures, traveling and eating good food and wine!

Not really. I like to draw/paint, read, and write during my free time.  He likes to sleep. haha.  We’re both huge football fans, so during the fall and winter we watch football together non-stop from Thursday night until Sunday night + Monday night, but that doesn’t take place outside the house, so maybe it doesn’t count.  Sometimes we go to bars to watch the games. ๐Ÿ™‚  I wish we had a common hobby, so I’ll be keeping an eye on this thread!

We’re both big sports / athletic activities and competitions people.  So we play softball, tennis, golf, and bowling together.

I think we both have adapted each others’ hobbies/interests… so from me he watches about 100000x more television than he used to, I got (mildly) into motorcycles and watching motorcycle races.  There are definitely things we differ on still though.

This is kind of lame but my husband and I are addicted to Gold Rush Alaska and Bearing Sea gold so recently we took up panning for gold haha. We bought pans and a sluice box – we’ve gone to a couple gold mines in my state to learn some more and we try and go out once a weekend and try our luck. Its lots of fun and we are lucky enough to be in a gold bearing area.

@totheislnds:  That’s really cool!  Do you get even little bits of gold?

We both love playing video games and pinball. I never played much pinball before we started dating, but now it’s something we really enjoy doing together. He’s much better than me (won the state championship a few years back), but I’m slowly creeping up on his skills!

We like strolling through art museums–mostly because we love taking long walks and just talking. We really love being in the presence of history and all the neat creative energy. For our first date, he took me to a museum when we were in high school ๐Ÿ˜‰

I am also an artist and my Fiance loves art history as well, so we both enjoy it that much more! We’re so busy we barely have time to visit museums, but when we can it’s certainly a special occasion ๐Ÿ™‚

does watching TV and eating count.

I wish we did more hobbys together.  We recently talked about getting bikes.

@Pearberry:  yeah! this is what we have found so far – not too much but its something! its just nice to get out and about in the wilderness. plus when you actually find some its like the most addicting thing ever, gold fever is real haha.
