If it were up to him we would. But I get hot and his chest hair scratches me. I usually pretend to be asleep and roll over to escape him, lol.

He’ll spoon me til he thinks I’ve fallen asleep (been battling insomnia lately) and then he’ll roll over to his side. But on occasion he has cuddled me all night and when we wake up… *shudder* he peels away… And my whole backside has a thick film of sweat. And his front side. Time for the shower!! Lol.
My husband will, but no, not me.. I need my space! I move around way too much when sleeping anyway, so I’ll just end up waking him 100 times during the night.
We start out spooning if we go to sleep at the same time, but we both move around too much. I’m the night owl and he’ll usually attack spoon me as I get in bed. He’s a heater so I usually get hot and sprawl out to cool off, but we always have something touching. To the point if I move away and don’t touch him somewhere (like feet) his foot will flail around until it finds my foot/leg… it’s pretty cute. He says I do the same to him.
on and off all night, yes. never constantly. we both toss and turn too much.
@LadyBlackheart: Only if, like you, we are absolutely dead tired and pass out during the usual pre-sleep cuddle time. Normally we cuddle a bit, then separate and sleep with just our hands or feet touching.
Only if I am exhausted will we wake up like that. Fiance falls asleep in .2 seconds – so I usually have to push him off me, toss and turn for about 15 minutes before I pass out. Usually he wakes up once or twice and throws an arm over me or literally moves my body so we spoon lol. But I’m perfectly fine on my side of the bed – I’ll reach my hand out to touch him, and then I fall back asleep.
Too freaking hot. Sometimes he’ll fall asleep while we’re cuddling, but then I move him over and make my own space, though we’ll usually hold hands or something. He’s too warm to sleep up against.
In the morning we just scoot right back over to cuddle and doze though.
We start off that way but I move way too much in my sleep. We are more likely to spoon in the winter but right now it’s just too hot.
We have only successfully fallen asleep while wrapped up in each other’s arms and stayed that way one time. ONE TIME. I guess we both must have been pretty tired or feeling extra snuggly that day. It was a wonderful way to take a nap and wake up, but it definitely is not realistic for us.
Like other posters, my SO is a human toaster. Just being in a room with him with the door closed makes me hot, and it’s not in the way I would like!
We will cuddle a bit and then roll over. We may or may not have our backs or feet touching. I can’t fall asleep if we are spooning.
We spoon/snuggle for a while once we get into bed and separate once we actually go to sleep.
There have been times where we’re both so tired we fall asleep spooning/cuddling or times where we’ll separate before we fall asleep and then wake up spooning in the morning, having moved together during the night.
I do love waking up all snuggled, but if we wake up separate, we just wiggle over to the other – no biggie.
We will go to sleep spooning, and when he turns over I wake up enough to spoon him! And the cycle continues all night usually.
We snuggle before we go to sleep, but always roll over and seperate before we actually drift off! I think we’ve fallen asleep cuddling once in the past 3 months! We do however sometimes wake up in the night cuddling, so we obviously like being close to each other just get too hot if we stay close up against each other all night!
@LadyBlackheart: We usually go to sleep spooning or touching in some other way, and during the night we will separate. However, when one of us wakes up and rolls over in the middle of the night or in the morning, we will re-spoon the other person. I don’t mind being woken in the middle of the night or in the morning by him spooning me and neither does my BF by me spooning him. I actually LOVE it. 🙂
Nooooo. One one of the rare occasions we’ve had to share a sleeping space he let me know in no uncertain terms “holding you while I sleep makes my neck hurt. So we won’t be sleeping like that anymore.” Lol. I was determined to find an alternative, which involves him sleeping on his back and me laying on his chest. It works but only if neither of us are too tired (in which case we both roll on our sides and sleep back-to-back in the fetal position).
