I definitely get the déjà vu feeling where I am sure that I dreamed something before it actually happened to me in real life.  And it is always really mundane things too.

Too bad it isn’t something like lottery numbers! ๐Ÿ™‚

I don’t know….

I have “feelings” about certain things and can usually guess the outcome of certain events. Sometimes my dreams do actually happen, not a deja vu feeling, I remember the dreams that seem very real and they tend to do actually happen.

One example.

I woke up one day at 3 in the morning with the feeling, “I need to check on my cat…” Looked everywhere for her and went outside. I could see a dark thing laying out on the road. I knew it was her….and it was.

It is just very strange.

Yup, I do.  The same stuff happens to me all the time.  When I was in high school my mom called me after school, which she did pretty often to find out what I was doing, so I thought nothing of it and went to answer the phone.  As soon as I picked it up I was overcome with a completely panicked feeling and blurted out “What’s wrong?!?” then I realized what I said and that I had no idea why I said it so I apologized and said hello and asked her what’s up.  She said my cousin (who my mom raised and is basically my sister) had been in a bad car accident and that I had to go get her son from daycare because she was on her way to the hospital.

I absolutely believe.  I’ve had wwwaaayyyy too many “unusual” experiences not to believe; way too many to list here.  Once the floodgate opened I started keeping a list of coincidences and they numbered in the hundreds.  Until I finally went to see a professional clairvoyant to find out what was happening to me I thought I was going a little nuts!

I also inherited “the gift” from my grandmother.  ๐Ÿ˜‰

The downside is sometimes you know things you really just don’t want to know.  I need to learn a way to block it out better!  Things just come to me all the time, whether I’m trying to know things or not, it just flows in.

This kind of thing happens to me on an almost daily basis.

@UpstateCait: I totally believe in it. It weirds me out, but it happens to me as well. I’ll dream about a person that I haven’t seen/talk to/thought about in ages (and not because I saw a photo of them or talked to someone about them- straight up out of nowhere), and the next day something will happen to them. It’s happened on multiple occasions now, and it’s to the point where I hate it, because it’s generally not good (death, accident, miscarriage, that type of thing). I also wake up at odd hours with these dreams, and later find out it’s when that person passed away.

Not all are bad, though. I knew when my girlfriend was pregnant, and I *think* I know what gender my other friend’s baby will be, so sometimes the dreams/feelings are nice.

Sometimes reading tarot cards has helped me to deal with this gift, does anyone else here read tarot?  I’ve also used a scrying mirror and crystals.  Although I am Christian, I’m very attracted to Wicca because of the beautiful practice of acting out prayers on an altar with symbols, etc.

Nope. And according to my psych profs, deja vu is caused by minute seizures in the brain. Your neurons freak out for a fraction of a fraction of a second and give you that weird “been here before feeling”. Nothing mystic about that.

@UpstateCait: Yeah, I don’t talk about it too frequently. “Oh hey, you know that wicked accident that took X’s life…yeah, I knew that was going to happen.” isn’t really a good conversation starter. My close friends know, though, and my mom (I’ve had her call my grandma once to be sure she was okay because I’d had an off feeling all day). Other than that, I keep it close to the cuff..it’s not like the ‘Early Edition’ show where I can go around changing what I see, so I generally don’t share :-/

@UpstateCait:

My mom and my sister both “do” something similiar that has always wierded me out. They both know who is on the phone before we answer. My father would call and before the phone rang, my mom would tell me it was going to be him. My sister does the same when it’s my mother who is about to call.

They also know when something is not right in our family because they immediately go into panic mode.

I’ve learned to listen to them and not question them anymore. I personally don’t have this talent or gift, but I’ve learned to respect that it exists.

I’ve had some interesting experiences like this as well and I absolutely believe that there is some way that we know these kinds of things.

Are you a reader? Let me recommend a book to you. I’m working on it right now and it offers a lot of interesting perspectives on things that we aren’t good at explaining. It’s called “The Source Field Investigations,” by David Wilcock. I think you might really enjoy it!

I get déjà vu regularly…once a month or so.  At first I would get freaked out, but now I find myself just mentally taking a note of it.  When my cat was diagnosed with lukeimia, I KNEW before they even told me.  I my dad is sick and sometimes gets mild forms of dementia episodes.  One time I called my mom out of the blue at 11:30pm (I never call them after 10pm out of respect) and asked her what was up (I had a feeling) and she said he was having an episode and she was kinda flipping out and wasn’t sure what to do.  She asked me how I knew, but I didn’t have an answer for her.  And I have this vvvvvvvvvery close relationship with my Fiance.  I always contact him RIGHT when something happens or if I “sense” he is stressed or upset.  And the other day, he went to the doctor and the literal minute he walked out the door I called him to find out what was going on.  He was struck by my timing.  And sometimes I call someone at the exact second they are calling me and the phone never rings, it just connects and we’re like “hello?  oh, you’re on the line already?  that was weird”.

My ex’s mother has this connection too.  I haven’t talked to her in 3 years, but about 2 months ago I was in a VERY stressful situation (most stress I’ve had in my life).  She called me out of the blue (had absolutley no contact with her for years) and said she had a dream about me the night before and told me the dream.  It highlighted the EXACT situations and feelings I was going through.  Down to the person who was stressing me out and everything.  WEIRD.

So, yes, I believe in it, and you are NOT alone ๐Ÿ™‚
