This is something that’s been on my mind today. What do you think?
I’ve heard so many stories of women who just knew they were pregnant right after conception- no test or tww or anything… but also other women who have absolutely no inkling they were pregnant until after their missed period.
I’m in the ‘maybe’ group- we’ll see how I’m feeling about it before I get a BFP. 😉 I don’t know if you can honestly know you are pregnant- but it would be incredibly cool if a little light would blink telling you you are pregnant for sure. This is our first cycle and the TWW has begun!

I believe you can just ‘know’. I’ve only taken a test once, and that whole month I just ‘knew’. I didn’t have a missed period or anything.. and then I took a pregnancy test, and it came up positive (digital test). It turned out to be a chemical pregnancy, but yeah.

I think someone can just “know” but that it isn’t something everyone knows, since there are lots of people who are weeks and months pregnant before they realize it.

What is a chemical pregnancy? Please explain this in lamen terms… Is this like a tubal pregnancy?

Well, I’ve been TTC for 9 months and I’ve “just known” I was pregnant at least 5 times and have been proven wrong each time. Perhaps if someone is lucky enough to get pregnant easily that feeling may prove to be true for them, but there are plenty of people who try and get that feeling and are wrong so I voted “no.”

Sometimes I feel like I “know” I’m pregnant and it turns out either I’m pmsing or it’s just gas. I get phantom baby kicks every so often-there’s no baby though it’s just gas 😛

The term chemical pregnancy means that the miscarriage happened at a point that a missed period and biochemical tests, such as an hCG blood test or a home pregnancy test (checking hCG in urine), were the only evidence that you were pregnant. The miscarriage happened before an ultrasound could have shown a gestational sac. Technically it’s a very-very early miscarriage. Hope that helps!

oh God, I know the feeling haha. Last night I was like… ooh, I’ve been bloating for days and cramping too…. turns out it was just gas. Well played Mother Nature, well played. D:

I’ve thought I was pregnant so many times in the 16 months we’ve been TTC. Nope, wrong every time!

Yep! I knew both times I was pregnant before I tested.

I absolutely believe it in! When i got pregnant back in December, I just KNEW i was pregnant so I took a test, and it showed up 5 days before my missed period. I wasn’t even having any symptoms! I ended up mc’ing but, yep I “just knew”

All those women who just knew also just knew other months when they weren’t pregnant, in my experience. They just disregard those times though and engage in classic confirmation bias by only acknowledging that one time they’re we’re right.

Well I wouldn’t say I “just knew” based on nothing. I made a prediction based on evidence. 🙂 I knew we timed it right and I was having weird symptoms that I hadn’t had before. And my BBT stayed up. So I wasn’t surprised when I tested. But I have worried I was pregnant before when I wasn’t too….
