Funnily enough, my husband “just knew” – and was spot on. This was after 8 months of TTC, so not just a lucky guess first time around or anything.
For myself, I was secretly hopeful, but wouldn’t go as far as saying I knew – only thing I knew was that finally my cycle was regular and I ovulated exactly on time on CD14, that was my only clue that this might have been a good month.

The month I was so SURE that I was pregnant, I wasn’t.
The month I was sure I WASN’T, and spent the whole day before I get my BFP complaining to Darling Husband about not being pregnant, I was.

I do believe some women “know”. My friend “knew” she was pregnant, but had to wait 5 days until she could take a test. She was right.
My boyfriend’s sister also “knew” she was pregnant.
It’s possible they happened to both make a correct guess, and were corroborated. Who knows how many women “know” they are pregnant, but turn out not to be.

Everytime I thought I was pregnant, I was wrong. The month I was convinced it wasn’t going to happen? BFP.

It’s hindsight bias – people don’t tend to talk a lot about all the times they were proven wrong, but that 1 right time is a fun story.

Well I thought yes, but I always thought I knew when my body was going to get its period too, and now I’m over a week late, no period, no signs of pregnancy that I know of (of course I’ve never been pregnant before) and I’m freaking out..

So.. I found out I was pregnant on friday and I knew I was based on the symptoms I was having, I only ever cramp for one day, really bad right before AF and I cramped on and off for a week straight (still now) and for me that just wasn’t normal. Even still, it was a total shock to get the BFP because I think part of me was still trying to keep a level head so that I wouldn’t be devestated if it was negative.

@abbyful: that was me too. I even bought a Clearblue Easy Fertility Monitor because I was so sure I wasn’t.

@MrsSawyer: congrats! 🙂 I know how that feels. I’m on the TWW and experiencing a LOT of symptoms, trying not to get my hopes up though.

There were a couple of times when I really thought I was pregnant, but I was wrong.
Darling Husband has a friend who realized she was pregnant when she woke up one morning, lit a cigarette, and it tasted horrible to her.

I don’t. I mean, the thing is : I had times in my life where I KNEW I was… and it turned out I wasn’t. So- no. When it actually happened I thought it was one of those times. When I found out I was much more calm than when I thought I was and was not. I actually cried to Darling Husband about how I never again wanted to take a pregnancy test because they make me feel bad- the day before we found out.

@strawbabies: I’ve heard of this happening as well. My ob-gyn has four kids and told me she experienced much the same thing with one of her pregnancies. She and her hubby were going to a wine tasting event and the wine tasted terrible to her that day, the weekend before they found out she was pregnant. It’s really cool how some people’s bodies ‘just know’!

I really thought that I was pregnant last month. Then I got my period. So it’s a no for me.

I definitely knew something was “different” with my body, though I wouldn’t say I knew I was pregnant. I knew something was “off”.
