Well do ya? I am very interested in the paranormal. I want to say I do believe in ghosts and people with psychic abilities. At least I’d like to think it’s all real.
With shows like the Long Island Medium, Ghost Adventures and A Haunting, it can be easy to get caught up in believing all of this is real. I kind of also think that it may have something to do with the subconscious mind and us being able to do things we had no idea humans could do.
I just don’t know! Has anyone had any kind of experiences to make you sway one way or another? What are your thoughts on the subject?

I don’t believe in any of these things. I believe in things that have quantifiable evidence like SCIENCE.
Interesting fact: women are more likely to believe in the paranormal (& god for that matter) than men! http://www.cbsnews.com/2100-500160_162-994766.html

Science is just another theory. I don’t think science can dismiss all paranormal notions. there is a lot about life we do not and will not understand, not matter how much we advance in sciences.
I do personally believe in the paranormal. I know a lot of people who have experienced “creepy” things, and many of them would be the last people to make something like that up.

I believe! I just do. It’s a gut feeling, I guess.

I believe in things/entities I’ve had personal experience with. I’m skeptical and scientifically-minded by nature and I trust my own judgment, so when something along the paranormal lines happens to me I believe it. Because then I know it’s true, at least it’s true for myself.

@Artificial-Sweetener: Absolutely not. I believe the mind can play tricks on you though.

I consider the existence of god to be paranormal, so I can see how that makes sense. Interesting!

Nope. Do not believe in ghosts, spirits, demons, devils, etc. I do think it is probable there is life on other planets in the universe, but I don’t think they have come to visit us.

Please explain the scientific nature of the whammy!
I don’t know that I believe in paranormal events…I believe, though, that there are things that cannot be explained by science.
Also there is this amazing quote:
Mulder: When convention and science offer us no answers, might we not finally turn to the fantastic as a plausibility?
Scully: What I find fantastic is any notion that there are answers beyond the realm of science. The answers are there. You just have to know where to look.
Mulder: That’s why they put the I in FBI.

I’m really not sure…
I believe in the Bible, & I just don’t see how all of that stuff fits into God’s plan. However, I do know that the Bible talks about evil in terms of paranormal activity, so more often than not, when people talk about paranormal activity, I think of evil & I am very leery and worried about.

I don’t discount the existence of such things, but I have yet to see/experience them myself. I had a childhood friend who was so scared of ghosts and ouija boards and thought the devil was lurking around every corner. I had to stop hanging out with her, she was such a buzzkill.
