I care more than I thought I would, I guess it’d almost be impossible for me to care less because I didn’t really care about anything.  I think my inclination to start caring more stemmed from my love of DIY, rather than becoming wedding obsessed.  Things I still don’t care about are: what anyone is wearing (bridal party, mothers, guests, etc) and what kind of flowers I have (I’m DIYing with fresh flowers from Costco).

Looking back, I wish I didn’t try to appease people as much as I did on certain details. But in the end I’m happily married and that is all that matters!

@lawbride88:  Well, I guess I just figure there are only a handful of people that will even remember the flowers: the bride, the mothers and anyone planning a wedding.  I’m also doing flowerless centerpieces and boutonniere alternatives, so I just have to worry about the bouquets.  If you’re hiring a florist, get LOTS of quotes.

@lawbride88:  I had a $300 limit for my dress and after alterations I will spend just over $900.  I know how you feel, so far the dress is my only planning done, I just hope I can stick with my budget and simple ideas for the rest of the wedding :/ My only hope is that the dress has always been the most important thing to me so hopefully thats the only thing I will go crazy with.

Definitely less! I’m finding myself so uninterested in the unnecessary details of a wedding. My wedding is becoming much more minimal and low key than expected because I just don’t care.

way less. though it may because i’m 4 weeks out, stressed to the max and ready to kill anyone and everyone. As of right now, I couldn’t care less about what happens at my wedding, as long as me and my Fiance and officiant are there – and even if that doesn’t happen, oh well we can always go to the city hall another day. haha.

I thought that the “bride-to-be” fairies were going to visit me in my sleep the night after our engagement and sprinkle me with “DIY/Creative energy” dust.

    Didn’t happen.

I literally shrugged when my florist asked me about boutinerres and corsages last week and stated “I got nothin. Do whatever you want.” lol

I’d like to thank the creator of the “creative idea goodwill” thread, etsy, and pinterest for making me feel like I care…even if all I do is look at the pictures.

I cared more at the time than I ever thought I would but now that it is over I care way, way less and have no idea why I got worked up about ANYTHING. At the end of the day, none of the worry was worth it.

I cared a lot about things at the beginning. I expected that though…. I always thought that I would be overly excited about things. But now I’m just kind of over it. I’m ready to be married.

Overall, I’m about the same as I expected. There have been some little things that surprised me – I got kind of obsessed with the cake design, even though that wasn’t something on my radar before wedding planning. And I care less about flowers than I thought I would. So, overall, it’s a wash.
