Our wedding anniversary is used only to finally give us a date to acknowledge how long we’ve been together, because (like some other Bee’s) we’ve no clue when we began dating. But unlike others, we didn’t “reset” the clock when we eloped, every year is just as important to us.

We are not married yet, but are talking about getting married on our dating anniversary (which happens to fall on Saturday next year-yay!). But if they were seperate, we would definitely celebrate dating anniversary too. For us it feels more important.

Lol, my husband and I went to the melting pot for our 1 year anniversary while dating. The waiter asked where we got married and we told him we aren’t married, just dating a year. He said, “oh, I’ve never heard of people celebrating dating anniversaries”.
we got married on our dating anniversary so next year will be 7 years together, 2 married:) that’s pretty easy.

As someone who is not engaged or married this is really interesting! I’ve always wondered how others celebrated 🙂

The two are only four days apart. We say happy anniversary on our dating anniversary, but we do the celerating (dinner, gifts, whatever) on our wedding anniversary. However, this year will make ten years together in total and we definitely plan to celebrate that!

We love our dating anniversary so much that we are going to get married on it – so I suppose we’ll always be celebrating both!

We are getting married on our 12th dating anniversary. I’m waiting 1.5 years after engagement because I really wanted the date. Our anniversary is Oct 1, my birthday is Nov 1, and his is Dec 1.
Might be silly but I love how they all line up and didn’t want to change it.
We’re eloping with our (adult) kids 🙂 and nobody else knows.
Everybody has been asking about a date and when will our wedding be…it’s hard to keep that secret for so long!

We will be celebrating both… only because they are the same day. Our wedding day this October will be our 5 year anniversary. =]

We’re getting married on 6/11 our dating Anniversary is 12/17 we could definitely celebrate both. I think both will be ok ☺

We’ve never celebrated a dating anniversary. Im excited that once we are married we will have an anniversary to celebrate!
Honestly I’m horrible with dates, so I’m good with keeping it simple! We also have 3 kids, and all 5 of us were born in different month, add in our soon to be wedding and we have something to celebrate 6 months a year! Lol

We will be getting married on our dating anniversary in 3 months so we will celebrate both 🙂

We do acknowlege our dating anniversary but we really only celebrate our dating one. I think we went out for a nice dinner around our dating anniversary but it wasn’t really particular for that. Everyone is different though. We know this gay couple that has a truly amazing relationship and have been together for like 25+ years. Because gay marriage kept getting legalized than was retracted, they ended up marrying each other 3 times. I think it is a beautiful sentiment to fight that hard for your marriage and be willing to marry the SAME person 3 times when you could so easily bail. Because they really value their marriage and their fight to be together, they celebrate their dating anniversary and the anniversary of all 3 marriages- 4 anniversaries! They attribute some of their success to the fact that celebrate each one, and while we don’t do too much for our dating anniversary (during the dead of winter in the midwest), we always make time for each and plan special dates and try to value our marriage in that way, even though we never had to fight for it.

We’ve only had one dating anniversary pass since our wedding, and we did celebrate. Our first date was a movie followed dinner at a sushi restaurant, so our anniversary tradition is to go out for a sushi dinner, then cuddle up at home to watch a movie together.

Our dating anniversary is in July and our wedding anniversary will be in early December. I imagine that we won’t really celebrate our dating anniversary once we’re married – we don’t exchange gifts on our dating anniversary as it is (we sometimes go away for the weekend but usually just a nice dinner out). However, next year will be our 10 year dating anniversary followed by our 1 year wedding anniversary so I think we will probably do a little something for both – they’re both pretty exciting in their own ways.

that’s pretty much what we do to haha! We decided to celebrate both 🙂 4 years may 31st 😀
I wish we could have had our wedding on our anniversary date – buuuut we wanted a winter wedding lol
