About a year + ago I decided I wanted to start collecting cat mugs- not sure where I got this idea from. I had this silly image in my head of having friends over for coffee/tea and everyone drinking out of a cat mug. I don’t go searching for them and I’ve never ordered one online. If I’m in a store and I see mugs I wander over and look through them.
My most recent one I found at Kroger (forgive my lack of make up/shower):

If I looked like that without makeup or a shower I would never do either.
I don’t really collect anything on purpose, but I somehow end up with a magnet from everywhere I go, and usually a coffee mug as well.

I love that cat mug!! 🙂 so adorable!! :))
I actually do collect a few things:
1. I collect rocks ! all of the ones i find are unique! Even the store bought ones i collect too!
2. I collect misc. nature things when we go somewhere ; Good example: When we went to the lake i collected a perfect seashell, so i would remember that day. Its always something different depending on where we go && what nature provides 🙂
**Love this thred! 🙂

i collect keyrings. i use about ten of them (for only 3 keys…but hey, i dont lose them anymore)
im trying to get one from every state in mexico (where i live) and as many countries as possible. ideally…id like it to be from places that ive been personally. but i dont see that happening any time soon so friends have been helping me out by bringing them back when they travel for work/holidays
i pretty much like any keyrings though!

As a kid, I collected teddy bears. It got kinda space-consuming.
I… somehow…. acquired a small collection of stuffed lions (all named Simba) because I love The Lion King. There’s only 6 or so of them, but it tends to grow. I even have a small one that’s a keychain.

I collect fiestaware dishes. At least they’re useful. 🙂

@OctBride-2012: Well that’s cool! Definitely something useful!
@FutureMuniz: I have about 6 mugs currently. I told FI last night maybe when we register we shouldn’t do mugs since I have my cat mug collection, he just looked at me. Ha.
@newname_99: I feel dumb not knowing Mexico was split into states. I would also only want to collect key rings from places I’ve been, it makes sense!

I collect rhinos! (Hence the name MissRhino) =P I have probably close to a hundred and even my cat has a few stuffed rhino toys. The good thing about it is I haven’t really had to purchase any of them, I get them as gifts since everyone knows about my rhino obsession!

I try to avoid collecting anything that isn’t useful! I have magnets from my travels and stickers.

Do dust bunnies count? Because I seem to collect a lot of them around here. 🙂
BTW… that mug is adorable.

I love the cat mug! I know someone who collects owl teapots and mugs.
I have always collected koala bears… the jewel of my collection is a 1.5 foot fall ceramic statue of a koala on a branch.

@RedAngelDreamer: Where’s the line between collecting things and hoarding?? Ha.
@MissRhino: The rhinos are cute and original!! I love that your cat has rhino toys.
@lovekiss: Dust bunnies should count!! I try to keep things clean and then I look beneath furniture and I have a heard of dust bunnies hiding.
I already know I’m a future (secretly present?) cat lady, so I’ve thought about buying all the cute cat things I love and just storing them away and then once I turn 50 I’ll break them all out and put them around the house. FI knows what he’s gotten himself into!

I collect Barbies. I just love them but they’re SO expensive 😐
Post # 15
@Lyndzo: I always want the Holiday Barbies. They’re so pretty. Do you have any of the old classic ones?

Not really, although you could say I collect Harry Potter everything, but that’s just because I can’t help myself rather than an active goal of collecting!
