I don’t, but I know 2 people who do. 1 has a business from home so she likes her clients to see the effort I guess. The other is just really into decor lol. She also always has special “theme” treats when anyone comes over. I barely want to clean my house, let alone buy, put up, take down and store various decor of the month LOL

I decorate for Halloween, Thanksgiving and then Christmas. Then after Christmas I put the Halloween stuff back up for the rest of the year.

A couple of times I kept my Christmas tree up for the year. Every year my husband tries to get me to leave it up because he like s the lighting.

I change door wreaths & potted flowers on porch seasonally.  We put up a Christmas tree.  That’s it.  I do not like tchotchkes or accumulating stuff.  The seasonal/holiday decor aisles at many home stores make me cringe at the harmful (to the planet) fast decor.  Natural stuff (like pumpkins, garlands, etc) or heirloom pieces are neat for people that take the time, I enjoy visiting their houses.  But for myself I get greater pleasure observing the seasons with seasonal food, scents, etc.

I decorate for each season. I get bored if I don’t change things every once in a while.

I go crazy for Christmas, but for every other season, I just change the pillows, window treatments and coffee table decor, so I does not take up that much storage space.

Nope. Not enough storage in my apartment to have to store decor 3/4 of the year. It’s a pain to even find the room to store my Christmas stuff (and we don’t have that much).

And I don’t really want to spend the money on a bunch of seasonal decor.

At most I will switch up the cushions on the couch (Pier1 loves me) but otherwise I only decorate for Christmas.

I don’t decorate much. I personally hate doing it. I do a touch of fall/halloween decor… then EARLY Christmas decoration as soon as Thanksgiving is over… because I want to enjoy all that work I didn’t want to do in the first place.

Yes. I go all out. 🙈

I love holidays and I love decorating so seasonal decor is one of my guilty pleasures. I’ve been collecting some stuff since I was a freshman in college living in a small dorm lol

I do pretty well for fall and Christmas.  I live in upstate NY where fall is basically everyone’s favorite holiday. (And we consider it to be fall at the end of August when the apples start coming out…) Right now, I have heart stuff hanging up that I put there for Valentines Day.  I’m just pretending that I really like hearts I guess.  Oh well.

I go crazy for Halloween because I throw a gigantic party every year. I seriously have more Halloween decorations than Christmas ones! So I decorate heavily for those two, and then I keep a grapevine wreath on my front door that I sub out different decorations for the rest of the seasons/holidays and I keep my front door mat seasonal. The grapevine wreath is great because I just put together sprays of stuff and literally zip tie it on! So it takes like 5 mins to swap it out. I have been slowly making them over the years so now I have one for pretty much every season, except Halloween and Christmas get their own special wreaths. But I even have one for Mardi Gras (I live in a neighborhood that has a huge mardi gras party every year!) Then I just swap to spring, but I think I will do a St. Patty’s Day one this year!

My mom has a lake house and she goes all out for the 4th of July there, but that’s about it. Otherwise she just does Christmas!

So I went all out for halloween and christmas. Halloween we had a housewarming party and I DIY’ed most of the decorations and our cosutmes. House before all my spider webs and black lights.  I made the headstones out of foam insulation and paint.  We dressed up as the 2 main characters from Mad Max Fury Road (one of our favorite movies) and had the movie playing on repeat like all night.

For Christmas (which is also my birthday) I might have went a little crazy, but it will only get worse as the years go.  We had 1 big fake tree with a ton of lights, a really big real tree, a tiny fake tree that i hung my handmade gnome ornimate gifts on, lights all over the outside, every doorway and window downstairs had some kind of garland or decoration, stair case, ect.  It probably sounds tacky, but I thought it was great and everyone who came over loved it.

Our color palette is neutral-grey and brown. I do a change of accessories for the seasons. Spare pillow covers and throws take up next to no room, but change the look of our home drastically.

Yes – I love it! I’ll change up the decor on the end tables – mermaid candle holders for Summer, pumpkins for Fall, snowflakes for Winter, etc.

I will swap out themed pillows and blankets in our living living and the wreath on our front door. I currently have a seashell one up.

I change little accents around the kitchen and some of the pictures we hang up. I like switching it up and we are lucky enough to have an apt with an attic where I can store everything not in use.
