Hehe, made you look…
I mean do you watch football with your SO. We are coming up on the last weekend of the season and I’m soooo excited that our team, the DETROIT LIONS, are actually going to have a post season. When they beat San Diego on Christmas Eve, I think the city of Detroit forgot about Santa Clause. At least I was so EFFFING excited!!!!
I watch every weekend with him, I understand the game and I get into it.
Do you watch football with you SO? Do you actually care about the game?
REP YOUR TEAM!

He doesn’t do football unless it’s checking to see how badly Caley Thistle got gubbed on a Saturday (and smiling heartily on the rare occasion that they actually win).
We do watch F1 together, though.

SO is a huge college sports fan, so we watch basically every UF game, and then sprinkling of other games. I didn’t go to a sports school (I didn’t even know we had a football team until my second year…), so it’s new for me…but I tolerate it more than follow it. I root for UF, but I wouldn’t say I know much about the team aside from the colors, haha.

I watch with him, but I’m somewhere between enjoying it and tolerating it. I usually fall asleep while we’re watching it. I’m a monster without my Sunday nap! Anyway, I’m a Redskins fan and he’s a Jets fan.

I don’t care for sports in general, except soccer. Fiance is into soccer too so it works. He never showed interest in watching football all the years I’ve known him. But this year he was driving me nuts because of his damn fantasy football. That’s the only reason he cared, to win that. Can’t wait for it to end.
ETA: were in eagles country, i dont need to watch to know they suck.

Not football but we watch the motor racing and formula one together 🙂 I was never into it before I met Fiance, now I’m as bad as he is haha

It’s a religion in our house. Darling Husband and I are die hard steelers fans. We started dating at the beginning of football season so I got to show him how crazy I am. He hates it though when we are out with others and it’s apparent I know more about it than him. 😉

Thankfully Fiance isn’t into sports at all, and neither am I, so we can be completely clueless together about it all, and I don’t have to deal with that noise on TV or bad moods if “his” team loses 🙂

i love football! i love sundays because of football! haha – i’m a Panthers fan (CAM NATION!) though we clearly didnt make it to the playoffs. My husband is a Patriots fan….no comment. 😉 haha
i’m always sad when football ends, but then march madness begins! (go heels!)

I think I am more into football than my SO is. I am that intense fan that yells at the tv and my mood is greatly impacted by my team winning or losing. I grew up watching football and playing catch/flag football with my older brother so I understand and love the game. I always get sad when the season ends, it is way too short. Only one more regular season game, boo. But I can’t wait for the playoffs, Go Patriots!!

I love, love, love my Patriots and he loves his Redskins. I’ve learned a bit about the Redskins and root for them, too…but if the Pats are playing them, I cheer for my Boston boys. 🙂
Tedy Bruschi is my favorite player ever. Love him!

@MissGreen: Religion…I feel you, our Sunday is planned around Lions kick off. If church gets in the way, we have to skip it or go to an earlier service. I’ve also told my family a number of times, don’t plan anything for Sundays during football season because we will not be there.
But it is not just the Lions, we have to watch EVERY game and the we can not miss the touch down montage they play every Sunday night on Redzone.
Also we have 3 TVs in our living room, so it’s all sports all the time (he is a lucky boy).

I actually like and understand football but… Darling Husband is such a football fanatic I can’t tolerate it with him. He’ll watch any game, anywhere! He’ll watch high school on Fridays, college on Saturdays and professional on Sundays. Let’s not forget Monday night etc.! So, since being glued to the couch for days on end isn’t really my idea of a good tme, I’ll only watch a little with him, then I’ll go shopping. BTW – our local team sucks, so that doesn’t help the matter.

@newenglandgirl: Haha, my mood is never effected but Fiance oh yeah, he lets it get to him. When the Lions don’t win, it a bad day in our house…so you can imagine what I’ve had to put up with the last few years. But this year was different, Fiance was actually happy on Sundays.

I’d also say I fall somewhere in between tolerating it and all-out enjoying it. I was never into football before I met Darling Husband, but he’s a hardcore college football fan. I do enjoy going to the games, and I’ll watch them with him at home most times when they’re on TV.
He got season tickets this year without me, though…I love to use that time to bake and run errands, haha. I like it, but I’ll never be as hardcore of a fan as he is!
