(Closed) Do you do separate gifts or joint gifts for in-laws?

Now we are married we do joint gifts. I buy the presents from for my family and he buys the ones for his.

Joint. It’s way too expensive to give our 3 sets of parents a gift from each of us. that’s 12 gifts!!!

In the beginning he did his normal parent gifts and I would give his parents something small. For mine he just put his name on my gift cause he’s a dude.

Joint and we did it before we were married.  After a few years of dating we found it to be too much of a hassle to do it separately.  I would find it odd to give separate gifts once married, with the exception of something like a secret Santa.

Before we were married we did separate for DH’s family (I don’t know why) and joint for my family. Now we’re going to do everything joint. 🙂

separate. I buy and sign my cards/gifts for my parents and grown kids, he buys signs cards & gifts for his parents and grown kids.

we celebrate christmas apart as well. He goes to his son’s house and the other siblings go. I spend it with my grown kids.
