we haven’t made a big deal about in the past 5 yrs we’ve been together. we do have a tradition of sharing a bottle of prosecco, and usually make a nice dinner at home then have some extra romance lol ;).
this year i told my SO i wanted something romantic! for my birthday i had to confess to him i didn’t like the piece of jewelry he got me as a gift (better to return than let it waste away in my jewelry box right!), but then i never got a replacement gift! 😛 . so i think that’s why i want something romantic this year! haha! for his enjoyment, i bought a 2 piece lace lingerie set in his favorite color- neon yellow/green like the color of a highlighter. LOL!!! it’s a bra and lacy hipster panties..pretty awesome in neon, haha! i’ll also have something sweet baked for him when he gets home from work tomorrow. simple and sweet! 🙂

The ONLY reason V day has significance to us because he proposed last year. So were doing our usual dinner and a movie though. I do love Vday as a teacher and like the party where the kids pass out cards and candy. I. sappy like that:)

Valentine’s day gets totally overlooked because FH’s bday is 2/12. We usually get take out and watch whatever game is on tv… Perfectly fine with me.

@MrsDrRose612: I honestly could care less about this day, but my DH tells me is a day to celebrate me…lol…he says he appreciates me everyday and he does show it all the time, but this day is very special, according to him. I love him for that:)))

I love Valentines Day. FI-to-be loves it because I do.
We buy each other gifts and cards, one of us cooks dinner and the other makes dessert or if we’re in the city, we go out for dinner.
I love having the day to be silly and romantic. That doesn’t mean we can’t be, or aren’t during the rest of the year, but Valentines Day is a day to make a special effort. It’s not an important part of our relationship, just a fun day.

We try and keep it simple. A small gift and dinner and a movie. It is a big thing considering we never really go out and this is a great reason to go out.

Second Valentine’s Day together. (Up until last year, I had been dead single for over eight years and lucky if I did anything with someone in the family.) Last year, we had lunch out somewhere and then a steak dinner at home later that evening. I think we’ll pretty much do that again this year, but we also have Netflix this time, so maybe we’ll watch a movie on that.

sounds like fun, I looooove going out to dinner! It’s basically my favorite part of birthdays, anniversaries, and most holidays, haha.
