(Closed) Do you do your SO/FI/DH's laundry?

    I wash ALL the laundry

He washes his own, but I still do my own, plus the sheets and towels and what-not

He washes his, I wash mine and he helps with the joint usage washing responsibilities

He washes ALL the laundry and I understand that I have the best man who ever lived

Fiance does all of our laundry.  The laundry room in our building is in our creepy basement and I hate going down there (you could easily film a horror movie down there).  Fiance knows that so he always takes care of it.  I’ll sort the laudry and help load up the basket, and then we both fold it when he brings it back.  But he does all the heavy lifting.

My fiance and I both do all laundry. We don’t have a task or anything we just do whenver a basket gets full, and whoever has time. He mostly do folding laundry and put them away.

I just started doing all the laundry a few weeks ago. I was too fed up with all his laundry piling up. I take laundry and I think I’m going to have him take car washing and cleaning. I actually love to wash laundry so that’s fine by me.

He is working way more than usual right now (12 hour days) so I’ve kind of taken over doing all of the laundry and cooking since I’m not working right now, but normally we both do laundry whenever we have time/walk by the washer since it seems like we constantly go through a bizarre amount of clean laundry for two people.  He is honestly way better about sorting everything and using the correct temp for the correct stuff than I am lol.

We throw everything together but we both do laundry. Basically, whoever feels like doing it, or is home at the time when it needs to be done.

Our clothes our mixed together except his work clothes. Whoever is home when laundry needs to be done is the one who does it. Sometimes he starts & I finish vice versa. I always put it away he could live out of a mountain of clothes!

I do all the laundry most of the time. I won’t allow DH to do my laundry due to I hang stuff up and am afraid he would throw what wanted to be hung up in the dryer.

@jadlnc:  He does his own and although I wouldn’t mind doing it for him, I’m glad I don’t because his workout clothes … the smell has me making faces only a mother could love!  We have three boys (two are “part timers”) and I do all of their laundry & wash the linens, too. If it’s been a few days and FI’s laundry needs to be folded, I’ll do it and – lucky me – he’s always kind enough to thank me for doing so. I make everyone put their own shit away, though; I’m no maid.

Like another Bee, I find (folding the) laundry soothing – the generally repetitive motion of folding and the nice & neat stacks of meticulously folded cloth. Ahhhhh…

Usually, he does all of the laundry (I will ocassionally throw a load in the washer). But once we move and get settled, I want to take over laundry duty. He washes everything together, with no regards to color and likes to throw towels into regular clothes loads.

I do all of the laundry because when my Fiance does it, he doen’t use laundry bags, and he throws everything in the dryer and doesn’t check any care labels, because all of his clothes are pretty easy to clean.

I have delicates (silk/lace/cashmere/wool) and clothes that I love that I probably wouldn’t let anybody else wash.

When we’ve been together, I’ve done all the laundry. He may help here in there to hang clothes outside and to fetch them, but for the most part it’s on me, and I don’t mind.

My Fiance is amazing!  Once I figured out that it wouldnt occur to him to do chores without being asked its been great for years! He actually likes me to text him to-do lists (his days off are a bit different than mine) and NO COMPLAINTS and does what I’ve asked.  He simply wont think of it if I dont ask.

We do have a seperate bin for my work clothes that I prefer to wash myself – delicates etc- but he will do any chore required, and always does the bathroom because I hate cleaning it.

I pull my weight too however, and always pack his lunches and make sure that we get groceries, I handle our finances and budgeting etc 🙂

We each do our own laundry and to be honest he washes the towels, sheets, etc. way more often than I do.

I do all the laundry. Actually I currently do all of the chores since I only work part time and my Fiance is working full time (and crazy overtime). I would do the laundry anyway. I enjoy it.
