I used to drink 3 12 oz cans a day.  I dropped it down to 1 for a few weeks and now I am on week 3 without it.  I do still crave it, but it’s been easier to give up than I thought it would be.  Of course I am only on week 3.

I’ll have diet sode when I drink a mixer but other than that, we don’t keep it in the house and I don’t drink it.

Never.  I cut out soda years ago and don’t miss it.  I love sugar, but stuff like ice cream and baked goods are more worth the calories to me.

I remember my parents trying to pawn that crap off on me when I was younger. I’d be all, “Mom, I want Coke.” “This is Coke.” “Yeah, but it’s diet. It tastes like crap.” “I like it!” “No, it tastes like crap.”

Several years later, I still think it tastes like crap. I’d rather have the real thing (which I do drink).

@blankenshiptobe:  I’ve never seen this in the stores. I usually shop at publix….where do you find this?

@okqueenbee:  Yes. I also drink regular pop. Not tons, I’d say maybe 1 per week. Everything in moderation.

Not anymore. I used to drink several cans a day. Then, I gave it up for my New Years resolution. After about 2 weeks, I didn’t crave it anymore. Then, without changing anything else, I lost about 7 lbs. I didn’t crave sweets in the middle of the afternoon anymore and my “bedtime snack” was almost non existent.

I stopped because I knew that I drank too much and I wasn’t able to do it in moderation. Now, I drink it once in a while when we go out to the bars because I usually Dear Daughter.

I used to when we had a free supply of them at my last job – I’d have one Coke Zero every work day.

My new job also has free sodas, but I kicked the habit in between jobs and I try to only drink water now. I’ll indulge on a Diet [Whatever] about once a week to ten days just to break up the monotony.

Never. I hate the taste of diet sodas cause all I taste is aspartame and pure chemicals! I really only drink water or tea and because I dont drink alochol I will some times have gingerale as a treat at a wedding or gathering when everyone else is drinking alcohol.

No, never.  I used to drink Diet Dr Pepper in college, but I gave it up a while ago.  I think it tastes bizarre now and it gives me headaches something fierce.  I only drink regular, real sugar pop if I’m sick and want ginger ale.  Otherwise, I drink seltzer or kombucha for the fizz when I want that.

@okqueenbee:  I don’t drink diet soda and I’m not a huge soda fan anyways but if I’m jonesing I’ll go grab some Zevia. Love that stuff!

Yep.  I have a diet coke at least a few days a week (I chose daily).  I drink 3L+ of plain water everyday, and at least one (brewed at home) coffee.  That’s about it.  I don’t smoke, do drugs, I drink socially (my last drink was a month ago), I eat pretty healthy on a day to day basis – lots of fresh vegetables, some fruit (I’m not a huge fruit lover), lean protein, low fat dairy and I try to minimize my processed foods.  So I don’t feel too bad about having a diet coke.

Personally no. I don’t like the taste and I try to gain only muscle weight. Plus diet soda also makes you gain more weight than regular soda. Which is crazy to me!
