I don’t know if this is a coincidence but I observed people around me who eat breakfast on a regular basis are generally slender to average sized. As we all have heard, apparently it’s because this prevents you from starving so you are not overeating for lunch or dinner and snacking frequently. I’m not a big breakfast eater myself. I think it’s because I hate the feeling of being full so early in the day especially when I have a lot to do. I only eat breakfast about half of the time and when I do, it’s a very light one during the week and maybe a heavier brunch on the weekends. How about you? Do you eat breakfast? How often? What do you eat?

I must eat breakfast or my stomach rumbles and I get hangry! And feel nauseous sometimes. I make a delicious green smoothie with avocado and almond butter on weekdays usually. Sometimes 1 scrambled egg on whole wheat toast with butter.

Omg, breakfast is my favorite meal. I eat oatmeal with raisins every day for the last 7 years, and I don’t want anything else. I love to have breakfast for dinner sometimes too.

- Wedding: April 2017 - City, State
During the week I have a very quick breakfast. Two pieces of toast and a cup of tea. Over the weekend I’ll have a more filling breakfast. I have to put some kind of food in my stomach to take my vitamin in the morning otherwise it doesn’t sit well.

Everyday! When I have to head into work early I’ll make a juice – banana, pineapple, kale and spinach, and then eat a yogurt or granola bar around 10 am. On days I go into work later and weekends, I’ll make some eggs and turkey bacon usually. Or a whole wheat waffle with peanut butter. Im not big on breakfast foods- like I’d much rather be eating a million other things than the typical breakfast foods but I could never skip breakfast. I’m starving when I wake up in the am!!

I have to eat in the morning or I feel so nausious when I drink water. But I wouldnt say I eat an actual breakfast. I will usually have some strawberries, small apple, or carrots at 7am. Then Im good to go till my morning snack at 10am.

On weekdays, I almost always have fresh fruit, yogurt and bran buds.
On weekends we have eggs.
You need something with protein to last you through the morning. If you only have carbs, your blood sugar will spike, then drop, and I would find myself eating again.

I always eat breakfast, even if I’m not super hungry.
I try to some some sort of protein. On days I work and am running out the door, I will have a bagel with peanut butter or an egg (either boiled or scrambled) or yogert with fruit. If I have more time I’ll make a smoothie with protein powder.
On weekends when my boyfriend is off he’ll usually make something more extravagent like omlettes or french toast with bacon.

Almost always! I tend to not eat breakfast on the weekends because I am busy or we’ve run out of breakfast food. But during the week, I always eat breakfast. I prefer to eat oatmeal because I can make it at work and don’t have to take the time to eat before I leave. But, sometimes I will do an english muffin with peanut butter or whole grain waffles with preserves and fresh fruit.

Absolutely, yes, without fail.
There was a thread here a couple of weeks ago about morning routines, and I was struck by how many didn’t mention breakfast.

My schedule fluctuates so my eatting habits do as well. When I need to be somewhere early I make breakfast and coffee. Depending on how long I will be busy and how physically demanding it is the breakfast can be anywhere between a smoothie or banana to a bagel with peanut butter and banana to bagel sandwich (cream cheese, lox, capers, tomato and cucumber) to a full huevos rancheros breakfast.
When my schedule is at night I skip breakfast and just have lunch. On the weekends it is tea and something very light like cereal or bagel and cream cheese

Always! I’m cranky and sluggish with out it. I typically do eggs and a grain (toast or half a bagel) with a piece of fruit and black coffee. If I oversleep I will have yogurt or cereal with fruit and coffee.

I almost never eat breakfast. I eat a lot less during the day if I skip it. Breakfast seems to gear me up to eat all day long. Skipping breakfast has been key to my weight loss, even if that flies in the face of everything I’ve read.
