I burned out on wedding planning in maybe the first week or so. Thank heavens that Mrs. Bee was around to save our wedding! She did eventually burn out too, I think… but she came back strong and we had an awesome wedding (thanks 99% to her).
Have you struggle with any wedding planning burnout? How do you stay energized, and fight the burnout?

I LOVE to plan in general…for vacations, school, and now a wedding!!! From what i’ve gathered from other brides, those who are organizationally challenged tend to have a harder time… so get together a binder and tabs and organize, organize, organize!
I’m also trying to make the process just as much fun as the wedding itself. Long engagements can be a good thing! Gives you time to save more and plan longer. Don’t go at it alone! There is a reason we have bridesmaids, right!?

I certainly don’t burn out on planning others weddings but my own I do! Im a graphic designer and have so many ideas in my head I can never narrow it down to just one style. I do much better when someone gives me their vision and I can run with it. I designed for 3 friends weddings last year and had a blast, I had no idea how hard it would be to do my own!

I am definitely not a party/event planner of any sort! So I’m doing as much as I can to keep the wedding as simple as possible (which is easier considering we’re only hosting 35 guests). But I am positive that between now and our wedding in September, I will be tempted to pull my hair out!

I’ve had a lot of pull-my-hair-out moments so far, that’s what I get for having the wedding just 4 months after the engagement. But I haven’t had what I’d consider a burnout. I’m still really excited! It helps that I got all the major stuff booked, so the only real stresser at the moment is getting the invites ready!
