Mine isn’t as tall as yours. It’s just a 1/3 carat solitaire. I catch it on e.v.e.r.y.t.h.i.n.g. It’s so annyoing.

Yes it happened all the time until I lost one of the diamonds. I was at night school when I looked down and saw,it felt like, a huge hole where a diamond should have been!!! Boy was I pissed.

I didnt have insurance but I did pay for a new diamond and will not wear it until I get insurance on it.

But even when I do get insurance, I will never wear it at work again or when Im working at the house etc. Im thinking of buying a cheap ring to wear during work. That way I can do whatever and not have to worry about losing an expensive diamond again.

Mine isn’t as tall as yours but I have some of those binder rings in the back of our fire trucks (I’m a volunteer firefighter) so I can put them on there or I can’t get my gloves on! I suppose wearing gloves isn’t very common any more these days though! LOL

I always thought I would be that girl that never took her ring off….but gawd It gets caught in my hair… my dogs hair…my clothes…I scratch myself and others…It bangs and scrapes against the inside of the washing machine…ect…I also don’t like to wash dishes, my hands or my body and hair while wearing it in fear of soap gunking it up. LOL

So now I take it off for all those things. I uesd to feel bad but my Fiance was like “I know it doesn’t mean you don’t love me!” Whew at least he gets it.

Oh my goodness yes! I swear, if there is anything fuzzy to get caught under a prong. it will. I am forever pulling fuzzies out of my ring. And it isn’t like it is huge or high set! I just talk (loudly) with my hands, all the time. I actually managed to bend a prong and need to go to the jewler to get it fixed. Luckily this is why Fiance got me a 6 prong ring!

I have a .25 ct marquise solitaire, it’s a bit high of a setting. It doesn’t catch as often as I thought it would, but occasionally it does hook on something. Never had a problem with it scratching me.

I take it off when I’m doing a lot of things though- dishes, laundry, sleeping, showering, etc. I always wear it in public but I’d rather not let it fall down the drain or have my cat pry it off my finger at night. I like seeing it and thinking of marrying my Fiance, but I don’t need to be wearing it to remember that so I don’t have a problem with not wearing it constantly.

I don’t have insurance though, since it wasn’t all that expensive as far as engagement rings go.

That is why I chose a bezel setting.  I don’t want to scratch myself, my dude or create runs in my clothes.  The only surefire way to avoid that is to avoid prongs.  😀

Haha, sometimes I catch it on my face. When I last had a cold my poor left eyelid had an awesome scratch.

Otherwise, I know I’ve caught it on door frames and the like before, but I keep a close eye on all my diamonds. I’m a but rough with my hands. I haven’t had many issues with caching fibres in the prongs.
