Until this site I thought I had unusually small fingers! People in real life comment on them, can’t get my ring on, can’t buy fashion rings online…
I’m a size 5 and that seems BIG here! I could put a 4.75 on my finger but it would look wrong. I see a lot of people wearing rings that just look too tight.

@cls9q: I have thought that as well and find it so strange. When my husband bought my ring, the jeweler said the average womens ring size is 6.5, but if you went by the wedding bee, you would think the average size was 3.5!

lol. I’m sure there are a few people who might fib about their ring size. I didn’t read all the past comments but, to add to it!
A lot of jewlers varie some. I have been into a jewlery store and wore as small as a 5.25 and as large as a 6.25
I think my e-ring is a 5.5. I have long narrow, boney hands 🙁

Coming from someone who has really, really chunky fingers, I have been tempted to fib a little bit just because I’m a little self-concious of them, but at the end of the day I’m just like you know what? Who really gives an eff? I have chunky little carny fingers. I am not going to lie about it. My weight has also fluctuated about forty pounds over the past year, but even when I was super duper skinny, my fingers were still CHUNKY. Oh, the joys of thyroid disease. I also think the temptation to fib is a little stronger when you have snide comments or know people may be judging you.

I’m not sure why people would want to lie about their ring size but I suppose they might feel self conscious if they were extemely small or large sizes?

Lol this has never crossed my mind.
I do think that in some photos my fingers look bigger than they really are, though.

Here is my hand with a dime.
I have short fingers, so my size 4.5 ring finger probably looks much bigger than it is. Size is relative.

There’s no shame in my 8.5 ring size game! Just like foot size, cup size, height, etc. we all have different parts.
In comparison my BFF wears a 6 and my halfsis wears a 10… It’s definitely a difference, but I never thought about it as a point of potential body conciousness until I started seeing Engagement Ring posts including sizes that seemed to contradict each other.

And then there are certain bees who throw in their ring size any chance they get..
” Oh I changed my setting doesnt it look nice on my finger (size 3 blah blah blah)
” Oh I slipped with the kicthen knife and cut my lil ol size 3.5 finger”
” Don’t mind the chipped polish on my size 3.5 finger”
Seriously…..aint no body got time for that.

I’ve also noticed this. Not that I think people are lying but that there is an abnormal amount of small fingers on the Bee. I don’t feel like I have chubby fingers but I wear 6.75-7 comfortably. I understand that some people have itty bitty fingers but I don’t think that can be the majority. This is a funny post by the way because it does seem odd that someone would lie about that haha.

My friend insisted she was a size 8. So when I was looking at engagement rings, I asked her size and asked if I could try on her ring so I could get a carat size comparison. Her ring was falling off of me so I assumed I must’ve been at most a 7.5. When we went to get me sized at a jewelery store they said I was an 8. So what the hell size was my friend? It just seems like such a weird thing to fib about.

I think people lie about anything they can on the internet. I was talking to some lady who posted a pic of her house and someone else reverse googles it and it was one that was for sale in another country.
