I think mine is perfect for my everyday attire. It’s simple and goes with jeans and a sweater or T shirt.  I love that I dont have to dress busniess casual for work.

I think mine makes me feel better when I dress down. I know that sounds weird but it’s like a sign that while I look like a bum in sweat pants… someone still loves me ๐Ÿ™‚

@JRL2012:  Haha, that is so funny I feel the same way! I sometimes go to the coffee shop by my apartment in sweatpants and a t-shirt and I want to be like, “I know I look gross, but LOOK, someone out there loves me!”

I know what you mean.  I love feminine looking rings but I’m more of a simple, plain, classic style.

Actually, this is one of the reasons why hubs and I are going to get a solitaire replacement when we buy one (lost my e-ring threeish years ago). Although I love pretty, side stone galore rings, I think I’ll feel comfortable with a solitaire no matter what outfit I’m in. Although I do not ever wear sweats in public, or even after 7am for that matter, I do wear ‘farm clothes’ while I do farm things, and scrubs (at work), and I’d feel kinda weird with a glitzy ring in those situations. That ring is not coming off my finger once it’s on there, and I want to be comfy wearing it in my everyday life.

hahah. I LOVE my ring, but yes, sometimes its “too much.” And yes, I tend to look like a frump so I feel silly with such a great ring!

I agree, my ring makes me feel “fancier” when I’m wearing less than fancy attire. I think sparkly goes with everything ๐Ÿ™‚

yes, I think about it a lot. for example, I’m 36. I want to ask for a new e-ring one day in the far future, but I don’t want to be too old looking for my shiny, big new ring! so it kind of makes me want to ask for it this year.

it’s totally bizarre thinking. where does this even come from? esp since I’ll be 40 for the 5 year anniversary, that would be a good time to ask for it, and I’m sure I’ll look pretty much the same as how I look now :/

I don’t worry that my ring is “too pretty” for my clothes which are really plain. tee shirt and jeans However, when we were picking it out I was super worried that it looked too blingy compared to the others in FIs family. I was scared they would think he needed to get me a blingy ring to make me happy. The funny thing is. Compared to most of the rings I see here, mine is pretty plain. LOL

@Scc6a:  Haha I;m so glad I’m not the only one!

@MrsAu:  I’m glad it made you feel better! I know I personally barely wear makeup or anything but jeans… I just don’t dress up because it isn’t comfortable but natural my Fiance says is always prettier.

Haha today it’s cold (weird in LA) so I’m wearing a hoodie and I felt like a slob.  Then I looked down at my beautiful ring and I realized I’m only a part-time slob ๐Ÿ™‚
