We’re paying for the wedding ourselves. I’m a teacher so money is tight for me. I don’t have a lot of “extra” this month as I’m going overseas in a few weeks and need money for that as well as for wedding stuff.
My shower is this coming Saturday. I really need a pedicure and would like my nails done too. I know I shouldn’t spend the money, but I really just want to say F**k it and do it anyway. It’s my shower!! I want to be pretty!!
that is all. Minor rant over.
I hate money 🙂

We’re not having a big wedding, but it is overseas as that is where FI’s parents are. They wouldn’t be able to make the plane trip here due to health issues. FI is paying for the majority of the wedding anyway – he makes like 3 times what I do.

I don’t know how nail-savvy you are, but I just purchased the Sally Hansen gel nails LED kit at CVS (it was originally $70 but I got it on sale for $45.) It’s awesome! Maybe you would feel better justifying that type of purchase? I know how you feel though- I wish money was not an issue!

@reynaweddingbee: I got one of those for Christmas two years ago. I use it a lot for solid colors. For the shower, I want a French manicure. I am just not talented enough to do it myself 🙂

@Glasgowbound: I am currently trying to justify this to myself too. I say lets both go do it and marvel at our goregous nails!
