Yes, but I'm a little concerned with bad luck and I just don't know how to say "no." : (25 votes)

Lol I’ve never heard of that before! I let my sister try it on right after we got engaged but thats it. I tried on both of my sister’s rings and my best friend’s before I was engaged. When I told Fiance this (BF at the time) he was surprised, like why would I want to try on someone else’s ring? I just wanted to see what they looked like on my finger 🙂

My sister let me try her’s on just for fun *shrugs* Sounds like superstitious nonsense to me. I don’t buy into anything like that.

Oh my goodness, I don’t get it w/ all the superstitions. I think we’d all be lonely, single, bitter people holed up in a basement somewhere if we listend to every wedding superstition. I’ve never even heard of this whole thing w/ no one trying on your ring. The women in my family have all tried on my ring, and even a couple of friends. I see nothing wrong with it.

I’ve let friends and my Dirty Delete try it on.  I’m not superstitious!

I’ve let just about everyone who asked try it on. It’s really fun to see their faces light up and to hear their compliments 🙂 I know how happy it made me when Fiance put the ring on my finger, it’s almost like a little preview of what’s to come for the friends who aren’t yet engaged. I remember how much fun it was to try on my engaged friends’ rings. 🙂

The ring is just a piece of metal to me. Sure it symbolizes all those wonderful things, but it isn’t actually physically those things. If I were to lose the ring, does that mean my marriage is doomed? It just seems silly to me.

I haven’t been asked, probably because I have really little hands. I did let my 4 year old niece try it on though– it’s probably ok since she I doubt she has any bad relationship mojo to pass on : )

I’ve let my sister and my FI’s nieces try it on because they’ve asked to. No big deal. It didn’t fit all of their fingers though (size 4.5!)

I think that superstition is absolutely ridiculous! Your relationship does not involve luck – it involves commitment, hard work, love, loyalty, trust, etc.

I have let several people try on my ring and am not worried at all!

I’ve had one friend as to try it on because she’s going through the process or looking at rings right now.  It didn’t bother me at all.

Funny! I’ve never heard that, but both friends who have tried on my ring thus far are happily married women, so I guess I’m still in the clear! ;D
