Fiance and I both remove our engagement rings for any activity where we feel like we might lose (or damage) them: showering, swimming, hiking, cleaning, etc. We sleep with them on. At first, Fiance took his off to sleep, which really bothered me because I wanted to wear mine ALL THE TIME haha… but now he’s adjusted to the way the ring feels and wears it to bed.

I take mine off for messy cooking (like mixing meat, dough, etc), dishes, shower, sleeping, gardening, swimming, applying lotion (: Other than that it stays on!

Here’s the shop on Etsy — this isn’t the exact one I got, I found this later, but I like the looks of this one better because it’s smaller (can’t find link for mine). Also I got a thick, super secure silver chain to put it on from Amazon.

I used to leave my rings on all the time, but now that we had to pay big bucks to get my wedding band pave fixed; I wear them a lot less. I wear them when they are safe such as, out of the house, at work and sometimes at home, but only if I am not cooking or cleaning. I take them off for sleeping and showering. I have a fake band that I wear when working out or playing sports.

The only times I take mine off is when I apply lotion to my hands, if I’m using harsh chemicals to clean with and sometimes when I take a shower/bath (but that’s only if I’ve JUST cleaned the stones and want to keep them shiney longer).
I did have some issues where in the middle of the night I would take them off while I was sleeping and not realize it until I woke up and the rings were gone! Once I took them off after I fell asleep on the couch and I shoved my ring in the cushions. Another time I took them off in bed and must have just had them in my hand while sleeping because I woke up searching for them and found one under the bed and the other at the foot of the bed. I think they bother my fingers (I occassionally have problems with circulation and I have a bad burn on my left hand that can make my fingers tingle and go numb) and so while I’m sleeping I just slip them off.
When I take them off consciously, I have a little dish I put them in so I don’t lose them. It’s not hard for me to take them off somewhere and think I’m putting them in a safe place, only to forget where that safe place is. So my little dish is perfect, it keeps them safe so I can clean or apply lotion or whatever.

I take mine off at night before bed and then put it back on in the morning after i shower. If i am doing house work, gardening or working out i keep it off as well. So alot of the time when i am just hanging around at home i’m not wearing it.

I usually keep mine on for most things. I take it off to take a shower, wash dishes, or if I am about to use my hands for something and it might scratch up my ring…

Basically never. Sometimes I take it off just to play with it and look at it, but I put it right back on afterwards.
Oh. I take it off if I’m cleaning with bleach or harsh chemicals, but that’s not very often.

I don’t ever take mine off. I used to when I worked out because the dumb bells would scratch my ring, but then I got a ring wrapper, and that completely protects my ring. I wear it all the time because I am really active.

As soon as I come into the house, I put it in my ring holder. 😀

I leave my rings on all the time. I used to take them off to shower, sleep, etc. But not I leave them on 24/7.

I used to never take my engagement ring off when I was engaged, but now that I’m married and wear it together with my wedding band, they’re a bit tighter together and my finger swells too much overnight to be able to sleep while wearing them. I also wouldn’t go swimming while wearing jewelry of any kind, but I haven’t actually been swimming since before I got engaged!
