Random question, Fiance and I were watching a show and a couple was essentially talking/flirting with each other in child-like or “baby” voices (sorry, it’s hard to explain). It got me thinking, how many couples actually do this and is it attractive or appealing?

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo…. I guarantee you it would not go over well, lol!
We have a straight-shooting adult-to-adult thing going on between us, nobody uses the baby voice, except to the pets, sometimes.

@joya_aspera: Haha, we are the same way for the most part (though we have our moments). But I will admit, we talk to our two dogs like they are little children sometimes. It does get their attention more easily….at least that’s what we tell everyone else 😉

…..I admit it. We do the ‘baby talk’ all the time. Especially referring to ‘love’ as ‘wuv’.
I know other people are embarrassed as hell about it but I really don’t care, lol. It’s a thing that we have just between us and it’s silly to some but it’s special to me.

Haha I will admit we occasionally do. Mostly me. Now we “baby talk” our two little puppies all the time but occasionally to each other.

yes…. his is sooo cute. i just think it’s sweet, and just for us, we never do it in public.

My husband and I don’t necessarily “babytalk” one another, but we have our own “language” that is very child-like. Not babyish, more like a 4-5 year old would talk to you.
It’s sickeningly adorable, and if I had to watch somebody else do it, I’d vomit rainbows and have my teeth rot out of my head. It’s disgusting, really.

All of the time! My mom told me I’m worse than Khloe kardashian (on her show she baby talks to the point where it would annoy an actual baby lol!) but its all in silliness, we don’t have like discussions about our future or current events in baby dialect of course!

@TCtheBee: haha, when i saw this thread the first thing i thought of was khloe & lamar!
we don’t do baby talk to each other.
i had friends in high school who baby talked all the time in normal conversation and it got on my last nerve.

IDK – I’m very silly and definitely talk in weird voices sometimes. Do I do the typical baby voice…not so much…but I definitely talk in weird funny voices though!
I talk in baby voices to my dog but not around others.

My husband has aunt that does this constantly! In fact, I don’t even know what her real voice sounds like. It sounds like a bag of cats in an orgy, no lie! I will say my husband and I do have a private language that we use when we are alone. It isn’t baby talk, it just sounds more like an innocent child. It is beyond gross, and I will be the first to admit it. However, I will say that I’ve never done it with anyone but my husband. Ever. I used to think it was weird as shit. They are still not my most proud moments, but what can I say? He brings out the little girl in me that needs a spanking, lol.

we talk in different silly voices sometimes, but never “baby talk.” no offense to anyone else, but i find it a little weird for grown adults to talk like that to eachother, even in private. i only talk in a baby voice to babies and kitties.

Oh my god no. I don’t even baby talk to babies, why would I do it to an adult?

I do sometimes (in private). I’m guilty of being quite winey, even if I am joking *most* of the time 😛 he’s always calling me a baby.

@Hyperventilate: hahaha honestly exactly this. Glad we’re not alone.
