It’s Saturday. I have no work and no responsibility to the outside world this morning. I would expect to be able to sleep past 8:30am at least. My body would be fine with that.
But no. My little precious darling boy wants to get up. After I convinced him to just cuddle up with me in bed for about, oh, 10 minutes, he wants to get up. Mind you, it was 7:30 am. On a Saturday. A day of no work. No responsibility.
I realize we have nothing for breakfast beyond cereal, which The Kid is fine with but not me. I have been eating cereal like it’s going out of style. Why? Because I’ve been home more and I don’t know what to buy for lunch at home, so I don’t. And dinner has been completely disappointing every night (read: undercooked and probably going to give me salmonella). So to make up for proper lunches and dinners the last half of this week, I’ve been eating cereal.
Resolving to just drink coffee, I discover the coffee’s out. No coffee.
Growing more and more bothered, I go to the bathroom for that usually wonderful first morning relief. And, TMI? Guess whose AM pee burns like the fire of a thousand suns! Mine!
So, in a total state of grogginess, hunger, caffeine deprivation, growing depression and now firey vag’, I think Imma go step out in front of traffic, y’all.
Or maybe take The Kid to the diner. Haven’t decided yet.

Oh no!! I vote for the diner though, much yummier than traffic. I hope your day turns around!

Oh man! 7:30 is late for me on a Saturday and I don’t even have kids! Funny how everyone’s bodies are wired differently for that sort of stuff.
Hope your day gets better!

I have definitely had days like that. I say you throw in a movie when you get home from the diner and veg as he enjoys the movie.

And my dad put a cup of yesterday’s coffee (that’s been sitting on the counter since 9 am yesterday!) in the microwave. This thing beeps if you fail to open it after it’s done.
It’s been beeping for 10 minutes. GO GET YOUR NASTY STALE BACTERIA-FILLED COFFEE OMG.
I appreciate you guys commiserating your previous bad mornings.
Oh goody. He just set it to microwave again. Because surprisingly it got cold sitting in the microwave for 10 minutes.
