I wore a fake ring to my bachelorette weekend and also for the honeymoon. I knew my bachelorette was going to be pretty crazy, and I was scared I’d lost it. We honeymooned on the beach in Mexico and I was scared I’d lost it in the ocean and knew I would be too scared to leave it in the hotel.

But for things like working out, or cleaning, I just take the ring off. I don’t wear a fake.

Yep! I have a fake ring that is the exact replica of my ring that they keep in the showcase. It was about $40 and is cubic zirconia and plated metal. I wear it on trips usually overseas

For day-to-day stuff I just take it off. But I do have a “fake” ring that I bought at Kohl’s for $18 that I brought on our honeymoon (but didn’t wear) for the dive boat.

I have a stainless steel band that I got for $10. I use it when I go camping, hiking, traveling  etc. where I would not want to wear my e-ring.

I just take both of my rings off when I don’t want to wear them.

I have a stand in ring that I got from Berricle.com that I wear for things like camping or trips to the beach.  I also wore it to my Vegas bachelorette party, which was perfect because I didn’t have to worry about losing it while drunk or at the pool 🙂

Here it is:

ETA: It cost about $33 with s&h

I have a fake ring that I’ve only used for things like halloween or zombie pub crawl where I don’t want to get fake blood on it but still want to have a ring on.

I do.  I know I could just go without, but I’m used to wearing rings on that finger and miss them when I don’t.  I have a sterling silver and cz eternity band that I use when I don’t want to wear my “real” rings.   It was $29.95 at http://www.fantasyjewelrybox.com.

I had a fake ring I wore while engaged for day to day stuff, I got the fake ring on amazon for about $20 and it was a replica, but the stone was a little smaller. I wore it so often because I walked to and from work (2 miles each way, part of it was through the “ghetto”), and then went to they gym after work and usually lifted weights. The ring was very pricey ($25k) and while it was insured, I didn’t feel completely safe strutting around with it and would have been heartbroken if someone stole it from a gym locker.

After the wedding I just wear my plain platinum wedding band solo most days. The unintended benefits of not wearing the engagement ring all the time is that it stays cleaner and I always see it for the giant rock it is (no ring strinkage from seeing it all the time).

I have also seen beautiful replica rings on ice.com, and if you want to spend a little more, you can also look into swarvarski crystal rings.

I have one… It’s a Diamond Candle ring with a sapphire looking stone (it’s darker in person) and little pave CZs in the band. I started wearing it because I accidently cracked 2 of the prongs holding one of my diamonds… Oopsie! Our jewler is a family friend and fixed it for us for free (YAY!) as long as I agreed to stop punching things. He was joking, but it was rather comical.

Excuse my very pasty hand. Sheesh. I get outside, I swear!

I just leave my ring on for most things, but if I were doing sports or gardening, I just leave them at home.
