Right now I just take off my e-ring when working out or doing chores around the house. But I do plan to buy a fake ring (probably from Kohl’s or berricle) and wear it for a couple months before the wedding because we are planning to go ahead and have my rings sodered at the next inspection since it won’t be done locally. And this way we won’t have to worry about making two out of town trips close to the wedding.

I have  been wearing a fake one for most of my engagement… sadly due to issues with out first jeweler and shipping the ring back and forth from designer to jeweler and it never being right my Fiance and I had to throw in the towel and get all our $$$ back and move on so looking like another 6+ weeks till I will have my engagement ring back where it belongs. I even got fed up wearing the “fake one” so Fiance tied a little bow on my finger with twin as a place keeper…. cheesy and yet so sweet at the same time I never take it off. 🙂

Sure do! I have this sterling silver three stone QVC Tacori ring that I adore (and will some day have something almost exactly like it re-made in platinum and Amora Gems) that I can use for a stand in when traveling, going to the lake, etc. My wedding band I wear on my right hand because it’s a thick tungsten band (WAY too much for my ring finger if I try to wear the wedding band with anything else) that’s a size 5 for my right hand, whereas my left ring finger is a 4. So, cold fingers or water = slips off too easily! My fake 3 stone is great because it cost about $60 and stays put!

No, when I do things where I don’t want to take a chance on damaging the diamonds I wear my plain wedding band.  When I was just engaged I did not have a stand in ring, I just didn’t wear a ring if I was doing something where I could damage/lose it.

No, but that is a good idea. I just remove it.

I haven’t had mine for long, but I am thinking that during derby practice, I’ll just wear it on a chain around my neck, or stash it in a pocket in my purse.

I wore a few different things over the year and a half we were engaged, and a few new things since we’ve been married.  I broke my ring once at work, and that was enough.  So, I now wear a mismatched set.  An etsy topaz ring i HAD to have when i saw it and a berricle ring I bought just because.  Turns out i like them together and i have a pretty set i get to wear when i’m doing things I consider “too dangerous” for my delicate vintage wedding set.

after wearing my wedding set day and night for a year, I got sick of how uncomfortable it was to sleep in (too “prongy”). I have a really comfortable plain stainless steel band that I wear for sleeping. it’s comfort fit and kind of loose, so I can’t feel it at all. I really like it, it’s very classic and simple looking. it was $5.

I also wear it for camping, dirty jobs, etc.

I have a stand in for clinicals and lab work because I can’t wear an engagement ring in either of those settings. So, I bought a sapphire and cz band from Berricle. It cost around $40.

@EffieTrinket:  Derby practice? One of my BM’s used to be on the tulsa team =)

And yes I have a cz I wear when I go to the bar or something so I dont loose mine.
