I tried on my wedding band the other day and now that I’m so used to just wearing my engagement ring, I can’t imagine being comfortable with the wedding band too. Both are super-thin platinum eternity bands and the two bands together are probably thinner than many single bands. I still feel like it might be too much for me. So question for you all, what do you typically wear? If you were to wear just one ring, which would it be?

Before I got married, I also thought my e-ring would look weird with the wedding band, but now I love it. Together they feel complete, and their differences side by side add to aesthetic interest. In the future, I might just wear a wedding band like my mom, but for now I love wearing the set.

I wear a band to work. When we go out I wear both together.

Just wear an ering. It’s super dainty and I didn’t like the look or feel of a wedding band with it.

After my wedding I haven’t worn my e ring alone but since my ering is large I often wear just the band

Both ways sometimes. I also have a second wedding band that is just plain gold and sometimes I wear that when what I am doing is messy enough that I don’t want it to mess up the diamonds and rubies in my wedding band and engagement ring.

I usually just wear my wedding band when I go to the gym. I wear both the rest of the time.

I switch. I have two wedding bands and my set is anything but dainty so if I don’t feel like wearing all my rings I’ll usually just wear my e-ring. I like the look of a single ring sometimes, too.

For the last 6 years since having my kids I wear just my wedding band on a daily basis other that dressing up to go out.

Vineyard-bride15: I switch it up. Sometimes I wear both, sometimes just one, somtimes I put one on my right hand, some times I wear none.

I wear my wedding band by itself quite frequently. I never just wear my engagement ring. The times I wear my wedding band alone is usually when I am working in the field (I work in the construction and soils engineering industry) or when I work out. I am so glad I have a wedding band that looks good by itself…(I had considered getting a wedding band that was curved and nested with my engagement ring.)
My mom encouraged me NOT to have the soldered together because in her experience, she didn’t wear her wedding/engagement ring with kids to avoid scratching them or getting caught on their clothes.

You get used to wearing both. I felt the same way at first, but now I could easily throw a few more diamonds on my hands and be okay with it 🙂

my rings are soldered together, so i don’t have much of a choice, haha. it’s either both of them or neither of them.

I often only wear my wedding band, specifically when I am at home or doing something active. If I am going out, I usually prefer to “bring the bling”.

KitKatNYC: That’s so funny! I got engaged in February, before that I rarely ever wore rings. Now I want a RHR, a pinky ring, or just a diamond for each finger. Lol. Fiance created a monster!
