Sounds like she was just stating her preference.

I like to think that people wouldn’t judge me based on my ring. Maybe they would, but I’m not concerned, because I’ll be judging them a thousand times harder for being so shallow and materialistic. ๐Ÿ˜›

Hang on… Do these people know what symmetry is. A pear is symmetrical ๐Ÿ˜‘

In any case you would be the one wearing it so get what you want.

I wouldn’t really think anyone is gonna know your clarity unless you tell them or you’ve got a zebra diamond so I think you’re alright there.

The only judgement I’ve experienced were once by a friend who started a rant on how stupid and wasteful diamond rings are, and diamonds are a scam and blah blah.

Then when I very first got engaged my co-worker asked to see my ring, and then she just goes “oh.” But her ring is not a diamond so I think if it wasn’t something out of the ordinary she’d have had that response either way.

Everyone has their own jewelry style, and that’s cool.

When my grandfather-in-law saw my e-ring, he thought it was gigantic, and I wasn’t sure if he thought I was the kind of person to demand megabling. It’s just a 1 carat cushion cut, which isn’t overly large by today’s standards but was probably much larger than what his peers owned. Other than that, I’ve never felt any negativity or judgment related to my e-ring.

People judge everything. Keep rocking what you’re rocking I say!

Tabrett Maria:  Sometimes, actually! I have a cushion halo, and halos are so controversial haha. One coworker who is expecting to get engaged soon said she never wants a halo, because it’s so tacky and overdone. I just let it roll off my back – I love my ring ๐Ÿ™‚
