Not usually, but it depends on a) what it is b) how much of it was there in the first place. 🙂 haha. I can usually tell how much I want of things, so I will typically finish most when I serve myself like at home. I leave a few bites for my doggies though. Ha.

When we go out, I almost always need a to-go box. I never eat everything when we go out – the portions sometimes feel ridiculous!

Since I serve myself and I always eat off a small salad plate, yes. Sometimes there are seconds since a salad plate is so much smaller.

There are a ton of studies that people eat less when they eat off smaller plates so I started a few years ago. I like it.

If I’m at a restaurant I won’t (cuz they serve WAY too much food,) but when I serve myself I do. I hate wasting food!

I go back for seconds, will eat what DH has left and then ask if there’s ice cream. I love food. Its actually kind of bad, I usually eat until I’m sick (not throw up sick, just sad sit on the couch and whine kinda sick).

Considering the only real “meal” I eat each day is dinner, yes. I graze throughout the day maybe before dinner, but that is usually the only full meal I eat.

When I go out there’s almost always leftovers (huuuuge portions), but at home, I serve myself a reasonable amount and eat all of it.  I actually usually wipe up any sauce with the last few bites, so my plate looks like I licked it clean.  It can go right into the dishwasher that way!

I almost never finish everything on my plate.  I get full after only a few bites.  It’s not uncommon for me to eat only about a 3rd of the plate.  On the other hand, I eat like 5 meals a day.  They’re just all tiny.

It depends, I try to eat until I get full.  Usually I eat all thats on my plate but I’m the one who makes the servings at home so I am conservative on them.  If you’re hungry you can always go back for more.

Usually, yes. I usually start out with less then I want, so I can always add more later.

If I’m serving myself at home, I pretty much always finish everything.  I often finish most of what is served to me at restaurants unless is is somewhere with even larger than average (for a restaurant) portions.

@lefeymw:I do that too. When we are home I eat off of a salad plate and since I’m serving myself and know how much I need/want to eat I usually eat it all.

When we go out I never finish.

I voted yes because I normally eat at home and try not to put a lot on my plate at one time.  But if I go to a restaurant, I never finish it all.

only if I had a small portion to start with. I have a habit of saving some of whatever I’m eating for DH too so that usually means there’s at least a few bites left on my plate.

it totally depends on the meal. If the meal is packed with healthy options like salads/veggies/low fat protein than I will usually finish off the meal.

For fattier meals like those that come with french fries or some other high calorie side I generally try to fill up on the main and leave some of those behind.

It all depends again on the meal content and my activity for the day. On busy/high impact volleyball days I can afford to eat a bit more.
