I’m in a venty mood today, but i just wanted to see if other bees feel the same way. When I look at board postings and see titles like “HELP ME!!!!” and “BIGGEST MISTAKE EVER!!” I become intrigued at what could possibly be so desperate and emotional to require that type of posting. Then when I click on them and see things like “what color should my sash be?” and “I chose lilies but I think I like orchids more”, I feel, I don’t know, cheated?
I wish people would be more specific with their posts so I can weed out the ones I really want to read and respond to.
Do you feel the same way sometimes?

It annoys me slightly, but it doesn’t ruin my day.
That’s why I don’t really look at those threads. Haha.
@CanAmBride: That’s why I try and check the category they posted in before clicking. But it doesn’t bother me THAT much. If it’s boring/I don’t have anything to say I just click back to the main screen.

lol non-specific titles don’t annoy me that much because if you look at what board they are in it at least gives you a hint of what they’re talking about… but overly dramatic ones do (which kind of is what you’re talking about with those examples). It does annoy me when people act like picking the wrong flower is the WORST. THING. EVER. OMG. etc.
also, all-caps in general and 47 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! annoy the crap out of me.
but thats when I just click away. haha.

I admit that some of them do irk me a little. The ones that are posted as “PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” and you click on them and its something like ” I need to see all rings!” or “Help me pick the best stocking color” . I just don’t get the urgency about seeing people’s rings or other trivial things. It reminds me of The boy who cried wolf!
It’s such a shame because for those that are urgent and could really use good insight, they may get overlooked (if you don’t pay attention to where they are posted”.

@Soon2BMrsP818:and @CorgiTales: You hit the nail on the head. I guess it’s more about the overly dramatic posts than the title. But at least if they say “HHHHEEEELLLLPPPP!!!!! WHAT COLOR SHOULD MY TABLE RUNNER BE???!!!!?????? I know to avoid it if I am not in a “decor advice giving mood”.

I was actually just showing WB to SO the other night for the first time. He was like “Ooooh, click on that one” (referring to the type of threads you were referencing) and then was very dissapointed when it was about flowers or rings or dresses. lol.
haha I can understand that being frustrating!! Sometimes I just want to skim as well.
HA! Yes, it can be annoying, but some of them are definitely deserving of their titles 😉
Post # 12
@CorgiTales: I miss-read your post at first, and was gonna say picking flowers was the.worst.thing.ever for me. But not that we picked the wrong ones, just that I hated picking flowers. haha.
@floridabride12: lol yea i dont/didnt care about flowers. I gave my mom my budget and some very general guidelines (i wanted either dark purple, green, pink, ivory, or white— and i wanted my bouquet to be monochromatic) and let her go to town. worked out wonderfully 🙂

I seem to be noticing these more now that this thread has been posted.
Are there always this many “crises”?
There was a sticky a long while ago about not going using all caps and excessive punctuation and squealing or grandiose appeals for help when it is unnecessary. I think it should make a reappearance for a while since there are so many new people who probably missed it. That is to say, I agree.
(I totally just bumped aforementioned previously sticky post that perhaps could be restickyed?)

Yes, and often skip those posts, especially if they are the whiny entitled kind.
