That is funny and rude at the same time.  Why in the world would someone just assume its fake or even ask such a question.  But no, I’ve never been asked and I’m a size 4.25 and have 1.3ct also, but no halo, so it probably doesnt look as big either.  Now get back to that hw…. Tongue out

2.2 ct on a 4.25 ring size, but I don’t think we’ve gotten the question yet.

Yes, I have been asked this one time however that particular person lacks all class anyway so I was not offended but rather amused by how ignorant and rude they are.

Yes. My ring isn’t even that big! But I was at the dentist and the lady asked if it was a costume ring. Um, no! “Its my engagement ring” “Oh its cute!” *annoyed*

I think she asked because she knows we are young so maybe she didn’t expect it. Idk. But it was his mom’s ring anyway.

I was asked that by one of our friends the night we got engaged. I just replied that I didn’t even think to ask my fiance that question, so then the friend cornered my fiance and asked him directly. I found it equal parts rude and hilarious.

I have a 2ct with a 4.25 ring size, no halo… BUT I WANT ONE!!!!!!!!! But yes, I stopped by a jewlery store in a mall to ask if it were possible to add a halo to my ring and  they asked what type of stone was in the center.. :-/ I was like hmmm.. do people think my ring is fake? nuts :-p

We have only been asked by my FI’s best friend who likes to give him shit about everything, lol.  I only have a .75 carat solitaire, but it looks big on me because I am a size 2!

Never! And mine is even moissanite. 1.5c on a size 4 finger! But Fiance has a pretty good job, so I don’t think that people really *doubt* that he would spend $8,000 on a ring (although I know he never would!) Maybe the “state in life” is the difference?
