    More annoyed than offended.  If someone asks whether we’ve thought about kids, or something a little more open ended that way I’m more open.

    @ellebeerob:  This 100%

    With one in six couples having some sort of fertility problem, it is a slap in the face to a number of women. You should never ask this question.

    It bothered me!

    a.) because I’m still in University and it seemed like a silly question and

    b.) me and Fiance weren’t even engaged and we’ve been asked the past 3 years when we will make babies (just got engaged in February, we’re both 23) and

    c.) recently I started thinking of how harsh that question would be if we were ttc and had fertility issues and I felt terrible. and

    d.) I want a baby right now. lol

    It doesn’t offend me personally because most people know we want kids eventually. I just say that we’re enjoying being married for awhile first. I don’t normally ask people that question though, cause I’d imagine it must be really annoying/hurtful for people who either don’t want kids, or are having fertility issues.

    I get pissed when people just assume I’m going to have one… Did I ever say I was planning on having kids?!?!
