It seems like we see a lot of that.
For the record, I don’t.

Not in the least. I like reading different opinions.
EDIT: Unless it’s something really insane like racism.
Only if they are rude about it.
It really depends on their attitude. I don’t expect everyone to agree with me, but it would be nice if sometimes people weren’t rude and close-minded.
I think some people think that you’re being rude, even when you’re just disagreeing because they are posting about something that is emotionally charged for them. IDK just my opinion.
depends on how their disagreement is worded.
understandably, alot of times it is really difficult to determine tone… and i think that is the cause of alot of perceived offenses here. and since we are ALL already so strung out and stressed with the planning and the budgeting and the pressure from families and friends… it’s easy to be more sensitive to possible, though not intentional, offenses.
I like to hear other’s opinions. I guess anytime you bring a bunch of strangers together to discuss things, a small minority of people get defensive and can’t handle it sometimes.
I just hate the following:
But to be honest, there has only been one bee who was ever rude to me on her and she was kicked off. I find most bees on here try to be supportive even if they disagree.
I agree with
For the most part though, I try to avoid threads where I foresee heated discussions. I’ll wait until later to post on threads where they could turn nasty but don’t.
I wouldn’t want everyone to agree with me. How boring would that be!? I love hearing other people’s opinions and thoughts.
I do also try to keep in mind that since everyone is writing and there are no facial expressions or voice inflections to listen to as a way to determine context. It really helps keep me from being offended by anything anyone may post.
I don’t get offended when people don’t agree with me. The only thing on here that makes me not want to post is when you take the time to respond and somebody after you makes the same point and the OP completely ignores your post and responds to the next or they respond to EVERY single post except for yours.
I don’t get mad about it. But, I have learned quickly that a lot of bees do.
I respect differing opinions.
I do respect different opinions. But if they are rude, I agree I am hurt sometimes. I think a lot of that is due to the nature of online comments though, you can never always tell a person’s tone or intent just by the words they type.
Only when presented in rude and ignorant ways. Or deliberately going out of their way to hurt someone’s feelings. Or a Holier than thou tude.
