Hi bees! well, pretty straight forward.
I’m right now suffering from PMS and i was wondering how do you know you’re on PMS 😛
For example, about a week before my period starts i start getting super clumsy, i feel like i was drunk because i start doingstupid things, i cant make a coherent idea, get overly sensitive, i will cry just by looking and my dog thinking how lucky i am to have her… like whaaaat?
Also, apparently i cant cook rice when im in my PMS, the bottom layer will end up burned, the rest of it will be over cooked andlooking gross but tastes delicious. Even if im right there next to it the WHOLE TIME, it never happens! just when im PMS-y
my period is not very regular, so there’s no way im prediposing myself to feel like that…
apparently my spelling get awful too… lol
Do you have any funny/weird symptoms when you’re having PMS?

@Anamagana: Yes! I get clumsy, emotional, very tired and I gain about 5 pounds of water weight. If I exercise a lot it will reduce my symptoms. I’m not sure if it’s because exercise naturally lifts our moods or because of a lower body fat. I have also read that exercise reduces our pain endurance.
Last year while DH was deployed I got my body fat way down and weight down to about 105. I couldn’t even tell my periods were coming on. Last month I weighed about 115 by the time my period started and I was a miserable, raging bitch.

I get lower back aches and recently also pain in my stomach from swelling like the day before/first day of my period, but I think I have those specifically because I have PCOS. Other than that I don’t get any symptoms- no cramps or mood changes.

I can get really exhausted. I also sometimes feel depressed and overwhelmed. My poor hubby has had to listen to a couple of my meltdowms.
Occassionally my breasts get a little sensitive as well.

I have over-sensitive issues when PMS’ing too. Like I could be watching a commercial and start blubbering. Or if FI said something joking and I have like NO humor when PMS’ing. I’ll get majorly pissed at him. It sucks! LOL

Yep. I get really emotional, start cramping, can’t park, am super clumsy, and always step in dog poop (I never step in dog poop, so this is really annoying).

I get emotional, over-sensitive & hungry all the time! Oh, and my breasts are sensitive as well.

@Anamagana: I don’t know how “weird” some of these are, but I’ve noticed that the week before my period starts I’m much more moody (which can also translate to bitchy), irritable, bloated, and I’m constantly exhausted. I also tend to get migraines more frequently during that week, which obviously sucks.
One thing I find unusual about the time I’m on my period: I am always starving. I’m on my period right now, and I just ate two large helpings of pasta with marinara sauce and I’m still hungry. A couple of nights ago I ate an entire meal, then proceeded to eat some leftover pasta salad we had in the fridge, then ate dessert. I probably could have eaten more, but I thought it was probably better not to. I guess it’s probably also odd that I feel/look bloated the week before my period, but the week of my period I feel/look thinner.

I cry over ANYTHING and EVERYTHING. I’m not an emotional person I think I’ve cried 3-5 times in the 3 years I’ve been with SO while not on my period.
Period time means he needs to walk on egg shells or I’ll cry over the stupidist stuff, even to the point of laughing at myself while I’m crying because it’s so dumb.

My boobs get extra sore and feel very heavy, and I get ridiculously emotional, will cry at the drop of a hat.

@discodance: oooh! that must be annoying! but hey, they say that stepping in poop give you good luck and probably will receive money soon, lol.

I get hungry. For carbs. And I want to exercise less when I’m PMSing, which sucks because that would make me feel better. And I get super bloated the week before, which the carbs also don’t help with….
I definitely get moody and cranky. Poor FI. I also fixate on things that bug me or upset me…I’m less able to gain control of negative thoughts. Not in a depressed way, but if I’m nervous or upset about stuff, I dwell.

I get cramps the first day of my period, and sometimes I’ll bloat a little, but that’s about it. I don’t get any of the emotional PMS symptoms. When I was younger, I thought girls just used PMS as an excuse to be crazy, but I realized it was a real thing when I moved in with my roommate my freshman year of college. ha.

There is a 100% chance I will cry the day before my period starts. I’m actually usually relieved when it starts because I can say, “THAT’S why I burst into tears for no reason yesterday!”
Also, horrible cramps, boobs hurt, feels like the world is ending, etc.
