Sometimes I do but not because I think there will be an intruder but because I let my imagination run away with me and I think about ghosts being in my house. I cant ever watch horro movies cause then I will be too scared to even go to the basement alone let alone being home alone!! hahaha!! We have a security system that lets you arm the house when you are asleep or home alone wihch makes it easier for me to be home alone without DH but doesnt help with my active imagination LOL

I’m such a wimp, I totally get scared- especially at night. i have to have something living with me so I usually have my two dogs keep me company.

I really, really hate taking a shower when I’m home alone.

I get scared pretty easily when I’m home alone.  However, I am usually okay as long as my dog is cuddled up with me.  However, if my dog growls at something in the dark, I’m super scared (I always assume it’s a monster or zombie or something lol).

Quite the opposite; I like my alone time. I’m an introvert in an extroversion-obsessed nation, I love a little time to recharge.

I don’t start feeling lonely unless FI is gone for more than a week (that does happen because of his job sometimes, and I don’t like it. A week is plenty long enough).

No.  I do keep my doors locked, but that’s whether or not my husband is home with me.  Its just a “I grew up locking my doors” thing. LOL

Yes, but only at night, and desperately so.

I am never afraid when I’m alone at my house….but then again, a person would have to be a moron to go after a 6 foot tall Amazon and her HUGE dogs….at my parent’s house however…that’s a hell freakin YES….that’s a creepy house on the edge of a cliff in the middle of nowhere and since its so big, that someone could be in there and I would have NO IDEA, I dislike being there alone intensly.

Also, maybe the reason I don’t fear it is because I lived alone for many years. You grow to love the freedom of it, and you know you’re perfectly safe.

You always have your neighbors or your phone if you ever really need help.

DEFINITELY. Only at night! If I have to go into another room of the house and then turn the light off, I quickly run back into my room LOL!

Only occasionally at night, but not very often. In which case, I just turn the TV on and try to forget about it. It usually works.

Not at all. I love being home alone and really value that time, which is few and far between these days!  I lived on my own for quite a few years before moving in with DH though so maybe that’s why it doesn’t bother me?!

Sometimes at night I get a bit jumpy aha, especially if I hear a weird noise. I usually keep the TV on for some background noise and turn on quite a few lights 😉

@joya_aspera:  You’re logical. I wish I were that logical. I still get afraid when I’m home alone.. and I lived by myself for a year.. I am especially afraid at night. My imagination runs wild!
