When my Fiance bought my ring he paid for it, and then had to wait for it to be sized, which took a couple of weeks. In your situation, it sounds like that is also the case!

I just bought my wedding band on the weekend and because it was already in my size I walked out with it. My Fiance has to wait for his though!

How exciting that the ring *might* have been purchaseD!!

My bf and I are having a custom ring made. We are required to pay 1/3 of the total price in order for the ring to be made. The remaining 2/3 is due to pickt he ring up. I joked that it would take some time to save the 2/3 and asked if I could come visit my ring. I was told that I wouldn’t be the first!

Hubs paid the down payment for my ring when he picked it up.  (Although he still had payments on it because Jared has six months of interest free financing so it was silly to pull money out of interest earning accounts any earlier than he needed to).

The place where my Fiance bought my e-ring had it made custom.  He paid a deposit, and then when he picked up the ring two weeks later, he paid the remainder of the cost.  Some stores work like this, but others have the rings there in front of you and that is what you get (unless of course it needs to be resized).

With that said though…DO NOT go looking for it!  I know it is SO tempting, but you will be happier if you don’t see it until he proposes!

It all totally depends, but I think there is a really good chance that you would NOT get your ring when you purchase it.  There are just so many things that have to be put together – setting/sizing/stone(s) set, etc.  It usually takes 1-2 weeks.

We had to order my ring b/c i wanted yellow gold. It took 8 weeks? to come in. Then we brought it somewhere else for the stone, he paid for it and picked it up once it was set.

3 months seems like a really long time!! My rings are a size five, so not much larger.  My engagement ring was custom made as a 6 because that’s what my husband and I thought I was.. but I lost some weight and it had to be sized down.  They did it in a day (and it only took that long because my center stone and two sides add up to a total of 4 carats and cross the whole width of my finger so because of the value and the setting they wanted their best person to work on it).  My wedding ring was sized from a 6 to a 5 in an hour.

That’s too funny. I search for three years…. and nothing… One day my Fiance came out and said…I do not want to get married. I told you this before… Two weeks later I had the most incredible rock on my hand…Only cause the delivery service had bad timing..I came to the door! So girl From experience….Don’t snoop! its not worth it! When he thinks the time is perfect, it will be on our hand also! Congrats and hope your time is just as perfect as mine was!

I am also a Jared bee!  My ring was custom made and when we picked it out Fiance had to put some money down, and he went back a couple times to make payments.  He too did the 0% financing!  Only a couple more month of payments and my ring will be paid off!
