slomotion :  same! My step mother started taking me when I was about 7 and it felt like our special pampering time.

I’m actually getting my nails done right now. 😄

honeybee2020 :  I bit my nails my whole life until about 7 months ago when i knew engagement was on the horizon. I finally broke the habit for good!

Now I have an at home desk/phone job so I can do daily manicure. Ive gotten really into it with nail stamping and other things. I basically do my nails 3-5 times a week. its a good way to pass time during work 🙂

honeybee2020 :  thank you!!! My now husband asked for some pictures of things I liked and that was it!! I really loved emerald cut diamonds too, but he said he didn’t like them with a halo and most of my inspo pics had halos so he went with his gut and I loved it!

I hope I can see a post with your beautiful new engagement ring soon!

I LOVE getting my nails done! I go every two weeks to a little local salon. She does amazing work, and my nails always look great. Way better than any home manicure could make them look. I’ve been doing this for about 3 years now. I only stopped for about 6 months due a thyroid issue. As soon as that cleared up, I went right back to my bi-weekly appointments.

I do get gel colors, and gel fillers. More durable, and last a long time. I’m rough on my nails too, and hardly ever get them chipped.

Half the time I just let my nail artist choose the color or design. I’ll usually give her a guideline like wanting something sparkly, or if I have a work event coming up and need to stick to a professional look, etc.

While I love color and sparkles, I do think that a good old french tip looks classy and timeless.

isadelc507 :  apparently French is more a brighter white.
