@Overjoyed:  I’m not exfoliating daily though… I’m exfoliating weekly. Technically my little facial wipes are considered to be exfoliating, but it’s really just a bumpy towelette. It leaves my face feeling cleaner than the other face cleansing towelettes, because I can use the slightly rough texture to scrub a teeny tiny bit at my nose and other areas that oils gathers on my face. Lol a wash cloth is rougher on your face than this towelette is.

@TattedNYBride:  Stick with not coloring it! My hair hasn’t seen color in a year and a half! 🙂

I’ve been very diligent in my skincare routine. Before I got engaged I would skip moisturizer at times or forget to use my Bridal Party cream for pimples. I now make sure I don’t skip any step in my skin care. I also purchased PerriconeMD Blue Plasma, the price was steep at $100 per bottle but it has made a HUGE difference in my skin and I highly recommend it to anyone with acne scars, uneveness, dark spots and black heads.

I also purchased Foxy Locks hair extensions for my wedding updo because I have very thin hair and need some bulk for the styles I like. Closer to the wedding I’ll also be whitening my teeth for all those pictures.

I asked this awhile back and I’m pretty sure I got some crazy eyes and furrowed brows from the bee!

But yes! I’m a low maintance gal so for the wedding I was like, poop!  I have no idea what to do…I don’t even like brushing my hair.

So things I have started,

Face:

MAC

Face Wash

Charcoal Exfoliator

Serum

Face Cream

Toner

Body

Tanning (outdoor laying in the sun while doing homework)

walking on the treadmill

mindfulness yoga

and mindfulness

I also just got the zumba game for xbox and it’s fun!

Oh and I moisturize everything like craaaaaazy

Hair

Still working on it but it seems to be improving naturally

Waxing

We’re working on regrowing in my unshapely brows so she can shape them nicely for the wedding…I guess I was a bad overplucker who never achieved the benefits of overplucking since I still had hairs everywhere

Pits, no shaving…just waxing and tweezing (it’s addicting)

Lemon and salt scrub exfoliating

nights upon nights of no deodorant and lots of moisturizer (to lighten underarms)

I also started using the dove underarm deodorant which is fine but doesn’t keep me smelling fresh LOL

Legs, I am growing growing so she can get a good wax right before the wedding

And body again

I have had 1 massage and have 2 more scheduled before we leave for CA (once we’re in CA I have 2 more scheduled)

And I think that’s it 🙂

I already workout, wax, dye, pluck etc so I haven’t had to change anything but I’ve just started covering myself in head to toe, inside and out with Coconut Oil.

I shower, exfolliate etc then cover myself with coconut oil, face and everything. I also drink my protein shake & green tea with a spoon of coconut oil. It’s magical stuff.

I also have a hot tip for everyone (maybe you all know this but I didnt!) I’ve been taking  vitamins with folic acid for the first time (in prep for future babies after) recently and have noticed my hair and nails are growing faster, stronger and longer! Seriously it’s quite amazing.

I was already pretty beauty obsessed, since getting engaged I’ve been splurging more than ever on facial treatments.  In addition I’m working hard on changing my appearance internally by excercising more, and juicing.

Some of the new stuff I started was in prep for the wedding, some was b/c I turned 30. I got Dr Brandt’s Glow serum (retinol), a Clarisonic, and a new eye cream (Fresh Black Tea) – I used eye cream before, but focused on puffies and wanted something to help with aging, more prevention than anything. I’ve had issues w/ my hair on and off my whole (a side effect of a health issue I have is that my hair sometimes falls out) life, so I’ve been babying it lately – not washing every day, using a deep conditioner, etc. I tried Aveda’s Invati line, didn’t notice a major difference and tried Alterna’s Caviar Clinical Root and Scalp Stimulator. My hair hasn’t been falling out as much, and I actually think the growth has been a little bit quicker w/ it (I’d be happy if it just stayed the same instead of getting worse!). Also, I’m a nail biter, but have been trying to break the habit. I’ve been keeping my nails polished (helps stop me from biting as much) and keeping my hands moisturized.

I’ve been getting shellac for about the last year on my nails, which helps keep them from breaking, and I got tape extensions about 3 weeks ago (LOVE THEM!!).  As I type this I have a teeth whitening strip on my teeth, and a face mask on, as part of an at home peel/mask system that I am doing every 3 weeks or so. LOL.  So, yes, I guess I am currently amping up my beauty regimen! I’m also doing jergens gradual lotion, and I am trying to decide how “tan” I want to be for my wedding.  Nothing like a white/ivory dress to make us all look pale!

I need to get going on a fitness regime, at the very least something to tone up my arms a bit,

I just started going to a tanning salon that also offers unlimited spa services — infrared body wrap, Lumiere facials, skin renovation to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and cellulite, teeth whitening, and an aqua massage — so I will be taking advantage of those as well.
