I dye my own hair. I’ve been to salons a few times and they didn’t do much better than I do at home. I don’t just buy a box dye at the grocery store though. Read up a little to understand the developers and colors and go to Sally’s or a beauty supply store to get what you need. I may do salon again someday but the cost seems crazy to me. Especially if you just want to cover a little gray at your roots.

Thank you! It’s all camera magic 😉

If I may ask, how do you go from dark brown to light brown? I feel like my hair has gotten significantly darker with age, and now I’m starting to get greys… and I was thinking I just want to go a few shades lighter back to how it was when I was younger. That’s why I’m asking. Btw, you’re gorgeous 🙂

Salon always. I am so awful at dyeing my own hair. I’ve turned it kind of orange once and another time and with one missed spot. After those two I decided that I’ll go salon always but skip it when I can’t afford it. I have my girl do highlights and natural so the growth out blends in.

thanks suuuu much! I actually had been dying my hair black at home for years and decided to go lighter last year. I bought an at-home stripper that took the black off and then have dyed it light brown since. The regrowth comes out quite dark but it takes to dye really well

I always go to a salon but that is because I get foils in multiple colours of blonde as well as the colour but my hairdresser is really reasonable.
where as my mum who just uses it to cover grey uses boxes and they work fine but she has to do her colour more often and her hair is dark.
