@kate22ca:  I love wedges and I think the right wedge with the right dress would be perfect 🙂

No suggestions in were to look but I do love the shoes from modcloth!

When I was looking for my wedding, Badgley Mischka had some totally drool-worthy wedges that were totally wedding-wearable.

As a less expensive option, I seem to remember seeing a few pretty ones on Etsy as well.

I actually had to wear wedges for my wedding because I’m 5’2″ and even with 4-5″ heels I was pretty significantly shorter than DH. My ceremony was on the beach, so heels would *not* have worked- they’d have sunk straight into the sand.

@kate22ca:  I’ve never been to a wedding where I could see the bride’s feet.  Brides could have bowling shoes on under there and their guests wouldn’t know.  Which might be awesome…

There will maybe be 1-2 photos of your shoes taken while you’re getting ready.  I think wedges are super cute but if you prefer strappy heels just throw a pair on for those photos and then put on some wedges for the rest of the day 🙂

@kate22ca:  I ended up not being able to find the Badgely Mischka pair in my size, so I ended up buying my shoes somewhere else.

It ended up not being a big deal as I’m pretty sure nobody really even saw my shoes anyway. But I got a cute picture of them! 😛

@kate22ca:  All my bridesmaids will be wearing about a 2-3 inch wedge and I will be wearing about a 2 inch wedge myself. I do think with the right one, it can look dressy. I have found a couple that I really love. All the dresses are long so I’m not worried too much 🙂
