I have 3.5 inch strappy Gina sandals for the day, then a pair of peep-toe 2.5 inch high JCs for the evening; the JCs are only a little bit lower, but it makes a big difference, plus because they’re enclosed, they’re more supportive.

I hate being uncomfortable, and it’ll be a long day, so it was important for me to have a comfier pair for the evening.

I’m wearing flats with my dress for the ceremony…so I’ll probably be fine all day in those. I might get a pair of flip flops, though- just in case! but i love my sheos…so I doubt I’m going to want to take them off 🙂

@kelly105: YES. I only had 2.75″ heels, but my feet were killing me after the pictures (which took place before the ceremony)

I was soooooooooooooo glad I went out and got some flats. It made dancing and walking around and greeting people so much easier, and so much more comfortable. Yes, my dress dragged the floor a little bit, but it wasn’t a huge deal. And to make it even more awesome, I got the flats %75 off at DSW! I ended up getting them when I was rushing around town looking for a pair of kitten heels to wear to the rehearsal dinner.

Oh yeah! I wore 4″ heels for photos and the ceremony, and changed into ballet flats for the reception. I wasn’t really planning to wear flats, or even bring them with me as an option, but Mr. LK is a very smart man and insisted that I at least bring them along “just in case.” I am really glad that he is such a smart man, and that I listened to his advice. 🙂

I have 3″ heals for the ceremony, I bought flats for myself and all the BM’s for the reception 🙂

Do it! I’m wearing flats the whole day for that reason, but if I’d wanted heels, I would’ve had backup.

I will more than likely be wearing 4 inch heels, so I will be bringing flats for sure to party in!

@kelly105: I’m still searching for a cute but reasonable pair of flats. I can’t find anything!!! Let me know where you had luck finding your flats!

Be careful about the flats though girls, if they’re not broken in they won’t do you much good! I wore flats for my wedding and didn’t think to bring a backup because I figured who needs a backup when you’re wearing flats. Well, a couple hours into the reception I was getting horrible blisters from the flats (and yes, they were the right size, my feet just hate me, I’m always getting blisters). Thank god my Maid/Matron of Honor didn’t listen to me saying I didn’t need a backup, she had grabbed my slippers and stashed them in the back room!

i’m wearing a 4 inch heel for the ceremony but i know i’ll want to change for the reception. i was worried about my dress dragging so i bought 3.5 inch platform flip flops! they are surprisingly comfortable. i have also been trying to break both shoes in by wearing them around the house.

I bought back up flats! Initially I wanted to find 2.5″ shoes so I could stand a chance of lasting all night, but couldn’t find what I was looking for. So I went out and I bought gorgeous 4″ stunners. But I got these flats to change into.

I am a bit worried about my dress dragging, but I figure it’s better than aching feet!

The dress will certainly drag, but it’s really not that bad. If it’s bustled, just keep an eye on it. Besides, you’re only going to wear this dress once. And then you’ll have it cleaned/stored.
