The countdown is on… we have two months until the wedding and I need to get to the programs. I’m debating whether I should actually make them or turn to etsy. Does anyone have a Word or printshop template that they can pass on? Any tips fora new DIYer?

I made my own programs using word. I made a TRI-fold program. Simply open up a blank word document and change it into 3 columns (at the top menu). Adjust the area that you want to type on to make it larger so more text will fit into the columns.
• You will need two pages of 3 columns.
• The first page will be the inside of the program
• The 2nd page will be the Front cover, back cover, and inside right page.
– the 2nd page far right column is the front cover
– the 2nd page middle column is the Back of the program
– the 2nd page far left column will fold over and become the first inside flap.
You will need to print the first page first. Then once its printed flip it over and print the 2nd page on the back. then you can fold it into a brochure style program.
I know this may sound difficult but its not. Its very simple.
TIPS: download fun free fonts off the internet to add some interest to the program.
I hope this helps… let me know if you have questions

I’m using Mrs. Corn’s template – it’s a cute size (6" x 6"), and easy to work with. The only problem I’ve run into is that it’s tricky to find 6" x 12" paper that isn’t heavy cardstock. I ended up buying drawing paper from AC Moore (9" x 12") and trimming it all to 6" wide.

I made our programs. I made them with a simple 8×12 cover and insert folded in half width-wise. Then I attached our monogram to the front and tied with a coordinating double-faced satin ribbon. Here is a pic- I have the template if you want it. If the picture doesn’t load – click HERE for the link.
