’92 Mitsubishi Eclipse, my first car! He was cherry red, he’s a little faded now 😛 His name is Antonio! I LOVE that car. It broke down on Charles street in the middle of Baltimore one summer, and I bawled, thinking that the car was finally done for. Last year, my grandpa (who’s a car guy) put quite a bit of money into Antonio knowing that I was trying to save up to get him movin and groovin on the road again. He felt nostaligic about his first car, so he fixed mine up as a present! Four weeks later…. transmission went -__- . UGH.
He’s still sitting in storage, and someday he WILL be on the road again! I adore him!
I was getting him as a high school graduation present. But 4 days before graduation, I rolled my mom’s blazer. She had to break the news to me that she had bought me a car, but that SHE needed to use it until she got a new one! lol.

yes! all of my cars were craigslist cars! My last one was an 03 Mustang for 3200 :} It started acting up…all….the..time.. my headlights wouldn’t work, changed bulbs, the works & they didn’t work.
Fiance got fed up with having to pick me up off the side of the road, etc. So he bought me a 2012 Jeep Compass this past Christmas. And I sold the mustang last week. I didn’t wanna let go 🙁

My car might be a little junky, but I love it! She’s a 2000 ford focus with just over 100,000 miles. Such a great car! I have had next to no problems with it, and even though she might be growing a little bit of mold, and the defroster has some issues, I just love my baby car.
I would be happy keeping it for another 5 years or so, but MrMojito will be getting a new car in the next year or so, and then his 2005 Hundai will pass on to me. It will be a bit of a sad day, I have a lot of memories with that car!

I couldn’t really answer this poll because it applies to me, yet it doesn’t. I still have and daily drove my first car, a 1993 Ford Mustang LX hatchback. A few months ago, it broke down and the issue is so extensive that I can’t afford to fix it. It is sitting in my father’s driveway, completely broken down, and I will NEVER get rid of it. I still wash it and detail it and I plan to someday drop a 5.0 in it restore it. I have had that car for 9 years now and it has just shy of 180,000 miles on it. In 2008, another issue with it caused it to be broken down for about 4-5 months, during which time, I went and bought my dream car, a 2005 Ford Mustang GT that had just 9,000 miles on it at the time. I have put a lot of money into modding it to make it uniquely mine. So, I have both my junker Mustang and my gorgeous car show trophy winning black Mustang. I will never get rid of either of them.

I desperately miss my 1997 Nissan Pathfinder! I got rid of it when it had 240,000 miles on it, and it needed transmission work that was just too hard to justify considering the car was worth like $1500. I love my car now (2010 VW Jetta) but that Pathfinder will always have a special place in my heart 🙂

UPDATE! There is a hole in one of the lines leading from my steering rack. It’s only a $150 fix. The Malibu lives on!
