No.  I’ve seen enough episodes of “Locked Up Abroad” to know that I’m never leaving the country.  Everything I need is here.

I didn’t until this winter.  I don’t travel much, and didn’t have a need for one up until now.

Yes! I’ve had one since I was little since my mom’s whole family lives in Europe. Is easier too if I have to travel for work.

I have a friend who refuses to get his passport because (as he puts it) he has no desire to leave the US. I think that’s totally crazy cakes! I have had my passport since I was very young (family in Italy) and Fiance has had his forever too (family in Argentina).

I never understood why you wouldn’t have one (especially us folks here in NY… We’re so close to Canada!).

I know I need to get one, especially if we honeymoon where SO wants to go, but I just haven’t done it yet. I’ve never been out of the country, not even to Canada or Mexico before you needed a passport. Forever a procrastinator… ๐Ÿ˜€

Both hubs and I have one, but I know you’re saying.  Neither of our parents or siblings have ever had a passport.  I do not understand it at all.

I don’t have one because I don’t have enough money to travel outside of the US right now ๐Ÿ™‚ Someday hopefully I will, as I would love to travel overseas.  Also, I’ve been to Mexico but that was before you needed a passport to go there, just a birth certificate.

I currently travel and have a passport and my family traveled in the past but for YEARS they didn’t have current passports simply because they were too poor to travel.Europeans are lucky in that they have so many amazing things right next door. For us to experience something similar we’re frequently looking at HUGE costs, which can be a discouraging factor. Why get a passport if you’re too broke to travel?

I didn’t get one until I was 22…not because I didn’t want to travel, but it’s an expense I couldn’t spare when I was younger.

I don’t have one simply for the fact that I have never went out of the country. I plan on getting one this year because my husband & I will be doing a cruise next year. I am unsure if I will need it, but why not go ahead & get it? ๐Ÿ™‚

Yup and have always had one. My parents were immigrants so I started travelling at a very young age to visit relatives.

I wonder if that is because up until recently neither Americans or Canadians needed a passport to cross the border?
